JMI BA LLB Age Limit 

As per the official JMI BA LLB Eligibility Criteria, the following is the age limit for the exam. 

  1. General Category should not be above 20 years old.
  2. Reserved category (SC, ST and OBC) candidates should not be above 22 years.

(Note: The eligible age of the candidate would be calculated on the basis of the year of examination and not the date of examination.)

JMI BA LLB Educational Qualification

  • Candidates must have qualified the Intermediate or equivalent examination from any recognized Board or University with a minimum score of 50% aggregate.
  • Candidates must secure at least 60% marks to appear in the test and for grade system 6.75/10.
  • Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam and counselling process will only be eligible to apply for the examination.

JMI BA LLB Eligibility Criteria for Reserved Categories

Jamia Millia Islamia being a minority institution having its sanctity under Article 29 of the Constitution of India offers a heavy reservation. Almost 50% of its seats are reserved. Eligibility criteria of reserved category candidates may slightly vary. The following are the reserved categories in the Jamia Millia Islamia Law admission test along with the no./% of seats reserved as per the latest notification.

  • Applicants with disabilities- 3% of seats are reserved. In addition, a relaxation of 5% in the qualifying examination is also provided to them.
  • Foreign candidates- 10% of the total seats are reserved for foreign candidates. However, there is no subsidized fee for them. The annual fee for them reaches around 1.5 lacs.
  • ICCR sponsored candidates- 5%
  • Internal (Jamia Millia) students- 5% of the total seats.
  • Muslim applicants- 30%
  • Muslim OBC/ST applicants- 10%
  • Muslim women applicants- 10%
  • NRI students- 5%
  • NCC Cadets- A relaxation of 5% marks is given to them in the qualifying examination.
  • NSS volunteers- A relaxation of 2% marks is given to them in the qualifying examination.
