AILET Syllabus 2024 will be officially released by National Law University Delhi along with the official notification on its website. No changes have been made to AILET Syllabus in the last year. So the candidates can expect the same AILET Exam Syllabus for the upcoming exam. AILET Syllabus for UG consists of 3 sections, which test candidates’ skills in Current Affairs & GK, Logical Reasoning and English, as Mathematics and Legal Aptitude sections were removed by the authority.

The candidates applying for LLM must note that AILET Syllabus for LLM is different from UG program. AILET Exam Syllabus 2024 for LLM will have two sections: Part 1 (objective type) and Part 2 (descriptive type). So, you have to be aware of the course-wise AILET Syllabus 2024 before applying for the exam. What is AILET Syllabus?

Every year NLUD publishes AILET Exam Syllabus officially on its official website for all aspiring candidates. The official AILET Syllabus includes all the details related to the chapters and topics that are needed to be covered during preparation. Last year, no changes have been made to AILET Syllabus, but in 2022, the exam conducting authority made changes to it and removed Legal Aptitude and Mathematics from AILET Exam Syllabus. So, it is expected that AILET UG Syllabus 2024 can be the same as in previous years.

Apart from this, AILET Syllabus for PG is different from UG syllabus. The modified AILET Exam Syllabus for LLM consists of 2 parts: Part 1 and Part 2. In part 1, there are two sections including English and Legal Reasoning. While in Part 2 of the AILET LLM Syllabus, a total of 10 questions (2 questions are to be answered) are asked from different branches of law, including

AILET Exam Syllabus Latest Changes

The candidates aiming at the upcoming exam must know that AILET Syllabus is different for BA LLB, PG, and PhD. In 2022 NLUD announced various changes in the AILET Syllabus, which remained the same in 2023 also. So, the candidates appearing in AILET 2024 must be aware of the latest official updates related to the paper pattern and AILET Syllabus.

  • As per the latest changes, Maths and Legal Aptitude sections have been dismissed from AILET Syllabus for BA LLB.
  • There are 3 sections in AILET UG Syllabus: English Language, Current Affairs & General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning.
  • Legal Principles questions may be asked in the Logical Reasoning section of the AILET Syllabus. It will test the logical aptitude skills of the candidates, but it is not mandatory to have prior knowledge of it.
  • A descriptive section for PG is added to AILET Syllabus 2024. There are two sections: Section A (English language and Legal reasoning) & Section B (10 questions will be asked from different branches of law).

AILET LLM Syllabus

The modified AILET Syllabus for LLM consists of 2 parts: Part 1 and Part 2. AILET Exam Syllabus (Part 1) consists of 2 Sections:

  • English Language: A total of 25 Questions will be asked about Grammar, Reading Comprehension, and Vocabulary
  • Legal Reasoning: A total of 25 questions will be asked with 2 marks each.

While in Part 2 of the AILET Syllabus, a total of 10 questions are asked from different branches of law, consisting of questions from Family Law, Jurisprudence, Criminal Law, International Law, Property Law, Law of Torts, Intellectual Property Law, Law of Contracts, Criminal Law, and many more. You need to answer only 2 Questions from AILET Syllabus 2024 for PG – Part B. The candidates must start their AILET Preparation as early as possible to complete all the chapters and important topics on time.
