AILET Exam Pattern 2024 BA LLB: Sectional Weightage

B.A.LLB. is a five-year course by NLU, Delhi in different law specializations. Note the following points regarding AILET Exam Pattern for BA LLB Paper.

  • There are 3 subjects for AILET Paper Pattern for the undergraduate course. Earlier, the paper consisted of 5 sections but in 2022, the exam conducting authority removed Legal Aptitude and Math from AILET Exam Pattern.
  • The AILET Exam Duration UG is 90 Minutes.
  • AILET total marks are 150 for the UG course.
  • As per the official AILET Marking Scheme, +1 will be added for every correct answer. But for every wrong answer, -0.25 marks will be deducted

AILET Exam Pattern 2024 for Current Affairs & General Knowledge

A total of 35 questions will be asked from this section and each of which will carry 1 mark. If you check the previous year’s question paper, you will understand that most of the questions will be based on current affairs. But you must also prepare well for the static GK part.

  • Focus on all genres, such as politics, world events, entertainment, sports, etc.
  • Keep up with the latest COVID-19 news.
  • Keep up to date with the most recent amendments and statutory enactments.

The static GK part is quite straightforward. Be prepared well for all the important topics from General Science, History, Civics, Eminent Personalities, Nobel Laureates, Geography, and Economics.

AILET Exam Pattern for PhD

The candidates who are thinking of joining as a Research Scholar in Law in NLUD must note the below points regarding AILET Exam Pattern 2024 for PhD. The test duration is 90 minutes or 1 Hour and 30 Minutes.

  • Section A: 50 multiple-choice questions (50 marks) to test legal knowledge and legal reasoning drawn from different areas of law. (50 questions: 50 marks)
  • Section B: Candidates have to answer one question (50 marks) out of the three options given in Section B.
  • In Section B question, the candidates have to develop a research design in response to the given factual scenarios. The evaluation of this part will particularly take into consideration the quality, feasibility, and innovativeness of research questions and research methodology suggested by the candidate (1 question; 50 marks).
