AILET Exam Pattern 2023 is released officially by NLUD along with the official notification. The candidates must carefully note all the important details of the AILET Pattern 2023 and prepare accordingly. As per the official AILET Exam Pattern 2023, there are 3 exam sections: English, GK, and Logical Reasoning. Last year, NLU Delhi removed the Legal Aptitude and Maths section and will follow the same AILET Pattern this year. AILET Exam Pattern 2023

The National Law University has released and set the AILET 2023 Exam Pattern on its official website. The candidates preparing for the upcoming AILET 2023 must be well-versed in the paper pattern, marking scheme, age limit, and topic-wise mark distribution. It provides a clear insight into the AILET Marking Scheme, difficulty level, format, topics covered, and negative marking. AILET Exam Pattern 2023 for BA LLB: Weightage

B.A.LLB. is a five-year course by NLU, Delhi. Note the following points regarding AILET Pattern 2023 for BA LLB Paper.

  • There are three subjects for AILET undergraduate course. Earlier, the paper consisted of 5 sections. The candidates must check AILET Books as per expert recommendation to ace this exam with a good score.
  • The duration of the AILET Entrance Test for UG is 90 Minutes.
  • AILET total marks are 150 for the UG course.
  • Each question is of 1 mark. Check AILET Cut Off of previous years to understand the trends of marks required for final admission.
  • There is a penalty of 0.25 mark for every incorrect response made by you.

As per the official announcement of NLUD, there will be only three exam sections in the AILET UG exam. A total of 30-32 questions will be asked in this section, in which you will get questions from Verbal/Critical Reasoning along with Series/puzzles, Directions, and Analytical Reasoning. AILET Exam Pattern for Current Affairs & General Knowledge

A total of 35 questions will be asked from this section and each of which will carry 1 mark. If you check the previous year's question paper, you will understand that most of the questions will be based on current affairs. But you must also prepare well for the static GK part.

  • Focus on all genres, such as politics, world events, entertainment, sports, etc.
  • Keep up with the latest COVID-19 news.
  • Keep up to date with the most recent amendments and statutory enactments.

The static GK part is quite straightforward. Be prepared well for all the important topics from General Science, History, Civics, Eminent Personalities, Nobel Laureates, Geography, and Economics.

AILET Exam Pattern 2023 for PhD

The candidates who are thinking of joining as a Research Scholar in Law in NLUD must note the below points regarding AILET 2023 Exam Pattern for Ph.D. Get all the details for AILET Admit Card. It is available only in online mode, and you have to download it from the official website using their login details.

  • The test duration is 90 minutes or 1 Hour and 30 Minutes.
  • Section A: 50 multiple-choice questions (50 marks) to test legal knowledge and legal reasoning drawn from different areas of law. (50 questions: 50 marks)
  • Section B: Candidates have to answer one question (50 marks) out of the three options given in Section B.
  • In Section B question, the candidates have to develop a research design in response to the given factual scenarios. The evaluation of this part will particularly take into consideration the quality, feasibility, and innovativeness of research questions and research methodology suggested by the candidate (1 question; 50 marks).

    • +1 for every correct answer
    • -0.25 marks for every incorrect answer.

  • There is a rule of mark deduction, as per the official announcement of AILET Negative Marking. For every wrong answer, -0.25 marks will be deducted. So, be careful in your preparation and practice AILET Question Paper as often as possible.

  • The candidates have to appear in AILET 2023 in offline mode. It is a pen-paper-based exam. You have to attend the exam center physically and mark the answer to the questions on the OMR sheet.

  • AILET 2023 Exam for BA LLB is MCQs based. But, if you appear for LLM and Ph.D., you can face 1-2 descriptive questions also along with the MCQ Questions.
