AILET Eligibility for Indian Nationals

The main criteria for AILET 2024 Eligibility for Indian Nationals to appear for the exam is described below.

AILET Age Limit

NLUD defines no upper Age Limit to appear in AILET. If the candidates qualify for the basic AILET Eligibility, including educational details, they can apply for the exam. The candidates must follow expert-recommended AILET Preparation Tips to complete the syllabus and important topics on time.

AILET Eligibility for Educational Qualification

Note the below-mentioned points to know the educational qualification details as per AILET Eligibility.

  • Must have passed the higher secondary school exam (10+2) system or a comparable examination with not less than 45% of the total marks in the aggregate (40% for the reserved category).
  • Candidates who are taking/waiting for their Class 12 results can also apply and take the AILET Exam
  • However, such applicants’ eligibility must be obtained by the cut-off date, which will be announced together with the AILET Result. If they are placed in a compartment in the year of admission, they would be considered ineligible, as per the official criteria of AILET Eligibility.

AILET Eligibility Criteria: Reservation Policy

As per the official AILET Exam Eligibility, 15% of seats are reserved for the SC category, 7.5% for the ST, and 5% for Persons with Disabilities on a horizontal basis. The university has one extra supernumerary seat for Kashmiri migrants and two extra seats for Jammu and Kashmir residents, based on the official AILET Eligibility details.

AILET Exam Eligibility for Foreign Nationals

Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO candidates are also required to apply online on the same portal. Below mentioned are the criteria for AILET Eligibility for foreign applicants.

  • Candidates must have obtained a score of 65% on the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination as per the AILET Exam Eligibility.
  • Foreign nationals are not required to take the admissions test. The other AILET Eligibility rules will be the same as they are for all other applicants. Go through the AILET Cut Off of the last year to get an idea of the range of marks you need to score for the final admission round.
  • Candidates who fall under the OCI/PIO criteria can apply under the Foreign National Category or the Indian Student Category, as per AILET Eligibility.
  • If an OCI/PIO candidate applies under the Indian National category, they must sit for the AILET Exam alongside other students.

AILET Eligibility for Application Submission

  1. Name of the candidate: Candidates should write their name in ‘CAPITAL LETTERS’ as given in Class X or equivalent certificate.

  3. Name of Father / Mother: Write the name of your Father or Mother exactly as in your Class X or equivalent certificate as mentioned in the AILET Eligibility details.
  4. Date of Birth: Enter the date, month, and year of your birth as per the English calendar and as recorded in your School / Board (Class – X) / Pre-University examination certificate. The candidates must check AILET Answer Key after it is released to predict their score.
  5. Gender: Select the correct option.
  6. Center Choice Details: Select any three centres of your choice in order of preference.
  7. Nationality: If your nationality is Indian, the option indicated for ―INDIAN. If your nationality is not Indian, the option indicated for ―FOREIGN.
  8. Contact and Family Details: Please provide your proper contact and family details.
  9. Mailing Address: Write your complete mailing address IN CAPITAL LETTERS, including the STATE, DISTRICT, CITY, AND PIN CODE. Candidates are required to enter the correct Mobile Numbers of parents and email addresses at which the SMS/communication will be sent.
  10. Academic Qualification: Select your qualifying examinations and fill in the requested information. Percentage (%)/ Grading should be entered manually, as per AILET Eligibility.
