HPSC Bank Exam Pattern 2021 for Junior clerk & Steno/Steno-Typist

Before perceiving the HPSC Syllabus 2021, let's kick off the exam pattern to better understand the syllabus. It gives you an idea of the exam because it briefs the total questions and total marks which is crucial to know by the candidates.

We will start from the prelims exam pattern and then move to the mains exam pattern to keep it untroubled for the aspirants.

HPSC Bank 2021 Exam Pattern for Prelims

Here is the exam pattern for prelims for the posts of junior clerk/steno/steno-typist. This phase is qualifying in nature which will not be counted during the final merit list. In the prelims exam, there will be these sections including Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language.

The prelims exam will be carrying 30 questions in the English Language, 35 questions in Reasoning Ability, and 35 questions in quantitative aptitude. Each question is of 01 marks and the candidates will be given 20 minutes for each section of the HPSC Bank 2021 Exam.

HPSC Bank 2021 Exam Pattern for Mains

Those candidates who qualify for the prelims exam will be shortlisted for the mains exam. The main exam will be a total of 85 marks for which 120 minutes will be provided to the candidates to complete the HPSC Bank 2021 exam. 

Note: The General Awareness section will be consisting of 25% questions about the Himachal Pradesh General Knowledge. So, the aspirants who are going to appear in the HPSC Bank 2021 exam, need to escalate their H.P General Knowledge for scoring marks.

Exam Pattern for Junior Clerk (PACS/OCS Quota)

Note: The candidates who belong to the PACS/OCS quota are being informed that in General Awareness, 25 out of 50 questions will be coming from Co-operative Banking. And rest of the 25 questions will be asked from General awareness as well as General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh.

Important Points to be Noted:

• For every wrong answer, 0.25% marks shall be deducted.
• The validity of the merit list will be one year from the date of approval.
• Preference shall be given to the candidates possessing knowledge of Customs, traditions,
  languages, and culture of the State and the test shall also include questions on the subject.
• Only those candidates who secure at least 45% marks in Phase-II (Main Examination) will be shortlisted for evaluation of documents.
