JAIIB Syllabus & Exam Pattern Official Detail

JAIIB syllabus and exam pattern 2021 is officially prescribed by the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (IIBF) for the JAIIB exam. The syllabus is of utmost importance for the preparation of any exam. You can check the topic-wise weightage of each subject and strategize your preparation for JAIIB 2021 exam.

The IIBF conducts the JAIIB exam twice a year. The exam is for the Junior Associate post in the Indian Institute of Bankers. JAIIB Exam Pattern 2021

The IIBF has released the exam pattern for the JAIIB examination through notification. There are 3 papers in the JAIIB examination. Check the detailed exam pattern:

  • The exam has three papers i.e., Principles and Practices of Banking, Accounting and Finance for Bankers, and Legal and Regulatory Aspects of Banking.
  • The JAIIB each paper has 120 objective questions.
  • The total mark of each paper is 100.
  • The time duration of the computer-based online examination is 120 minutes.

JAIIB Marking Scheme

The marking scheme of the JAIIB exam is a little bit different from other bank exams. Check the details of the marking scheme below.

  • There is no negative marking for wrong answers,
  • Candidates have to score 50% marks on each paper.
  • If candidates secure at least 45% marks in each subject and 50% marks in aggregate in a single attempt, he/she will be declared qualified in the examination.
  • Each paper consists of 100 marks.

JAIIB Passing Criteria

Candidates must take note of the time limit condition set by the IIBF for the JAIIB examination. Candidates need to clear the JAIIB exam in the stipulated time. The conditions are mentioned below. 

  • Candidates need to pass the examination within 2 years ( consecutive attempts).
  • The time limit will start from the date of application. Attempts will be counted whether you attempt or skip the exam.
  • Candidates who are not able to clear the examination within the time limit, need to re-enroll themselves.
