ESIC Eligibility Criteria 2022

Candidates who failed to fulfill the ESIC UDC/Stenographer eligibility will not be allowed to participate in the recruitment process. Thus, you fulfill the entire ESIC UDC/Stenographer eligibility criteria 2022 in order to avoid cancellation. Required Upper Division Clerk qualification as well qualifications for a Stenographer must be considered before applying.

ESIC UDC Steno Eligibility Criteria 2022: Education

To be eligible to apply for ESIC UDC & Stenographer Exam 2022, the candidate must have acquired the below-mentioned educational qualification as of the closing date of receipt of the online application. This is ESI Educational Requirement, the other eligibility is ESI Age Limit.

A. For ESIC UDC (Upper Division Clerk) :

1. Upper Division Clerk qualification includes a degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
2. Working knowledge of computer including use of office suites and databases

B. For ESIC Stenographer Post :

1. Higher Secondary Pass (pass in 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognized board).
2. A Speed of 80 words per minute in stenography in English/Hindi.
3. Working knowledge of Computers including the use of Office Suites and databases.

C. For ESIC MTS Post :

1. Matriculation or equivalent pass from recognized Board.

ESIC UDC Steno Eligibility Criteria 2022: Age Limit

For both the posts i.e ESIC UDC and Stenographer, eligibility criteria for ESI Age Limit is the same which are as follows:

  • In order to apply for ESIC UDC as well as the ESIC Stenographer post, the candidate must be between 18 to 27 years as of 15th February 2022.
  • The upper age limit is relaxable for persons belonging to reserved categories i.e.

Relaxation in upper age limit has been provided for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Servicemen and for ESIC Employees, Government Servants which is as under:

(i) UR- 10 years
(ii) OBC- 13 years

As per instructions of DoPT, a PWD applicant is entitled to age concession in different combinations subject to the condition of the maximum age of 56 years. Further in the case of a PWD by virtue of being an ESIC/Govt. Employee, concession to him/her will be admissible either as a 'person with a disability or as an ESIC/Govt. Employee' whichever may be more beneficial to him/her.

Ex-Servicemen

(i) UR- 3 years (*)
(ii) OBC- 6 years (*)
(iii) SC/ST- 8 years (*)
(*) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age

ESIC Employee/ Government Servant who have rendered not less than 3 years regular and continuous service as on closing date for receipt of application

(i) UR- up to 40 years
(ii) OBC- up to 43 years
(iii) SC/ST- up to 45 years
Note- Applicant should continue to have the status of ESIC/ Govt. servant till the time of appointment, in the event of their selection
