ESIC UDC Eligibility Criteria 2023

ESIC UDC Eligibility - Education Qualification

To be eligible to apply for ESIC UDC eligibility 2023, the candidate must have acquired the below-mentioned educational qualification as of the closing date of receipt of the online application. This is ESIC Educational Requirement, the other eligibility is ESIC UDC Age Limit.

For ESIC UDC (Upper Division Clerk)

  • Upper Division Clerk qualification includes a degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of computers including use of office suites and databases.

ESIC UDC Age Limit

For ESIC UDC eligibility criteria for the age limit are given below.

  • In order to apply for ESIC UDC, the candidate must be between 18 to 27 years as of 15th February 2022.
  • The upper age limit is relaxable for persons belonging to reserved categories.

Relaxation in the upper age limit has been provided for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD/ Ex-Servicemen and for ESIC UDC Employees, Government Servants which is as under:

As per instructions of DoPT, a PWD applicant is entitled to age concession in different combinations subject to the condition of the maximum age of 56 years. Further in the case of a PWD by virtue of being an ESIC/Govt. Employee, concession to him/her will be admissible either as a 'person with a disability or as an ESIC/Govt. Employee' whichever may be more beneficial to him/her.

Ex-Servicemen

UR- 3 years (*)
OBC- 6 years (*)
SC/ST- 8 years (*)
(*) after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age

ESIC Employee/ Government Servant who has rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as of closing date for receipt of application

UR- up to 40 years
OBC- up to 43 years
SC/ST- up to 45 years
Note- Applicant should continue to have the status of ESIC/ Govt. servant till the time of appointment, in the event of their selection

ESIC UDC Eligibility - Nationality

If candidates want to be employed through the exam, they must meet the nationality ESIC UDC eligibility criteria 2023. Any applicant who wishes to take the ESIC UDC exam must either:

  • An Indian national
  • A Nepalese
  • A Bhutanese subject.
  • A Tibetan refugee who entered India before the first of January 1962 with the goal of living there permanently, or
  • A person of Indian descent who has relocated to India permanently from one of the following countries: Pakistan, Burma, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Sri Lanka, Kenya, or Vietnam.

  • According to the ESIC UDC eligibility criteria 2023, a candidate must be between the ages of 18 and 27, have a degree from an accredited university or the equivalent, and have a working understanding of computers, including the use of MS Office Suites and databases.

  • As per the ESIC UDC age limit criteria, the minimum age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years while the maximum age of the candidate should not be more than 27 years.

  • Candidates applying for this exam must be 18 years old and less than 27 years old. However, there is an age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates under ESIC Eligibility Criteria.

  • According to the ESIC UDC eligibility criteria 2023, a candidate must hold a degree from a recognized University or equivalent or work knowledge of Computers including the use of MS Office suites and databases.

  • According to the ESIC UDC eligibility 2023, the ESIC organization has not imposed any restrictions on the number of attempts. Candidates may therefore take this exam more than once.
