AFCAT 1 2022 Notification Important Dates
AFCAT 1 2022 notification is released by Indian Air Force on 27th November 2021 in the employment newspaper. The exam is expected to be conducted by Indian Air Force in second or third week of February 2022.

AFCAT 1 2022 Application Form Correction
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has started the process of AFCAT 1 2022 application form correction. Applicants who has made any mistake in during the form filling or want to alter it for further improvement, AFCAT has provided them an opportunity to fix the application form for AFCAT 1 2022. The last date to make corrections in the AFCAT 1 2022 form is 21 January, 2022.
Steps to edit the AFCAT 2022 application form
Step 1: Go to the official website afcat.cdac.in
Step 2: Login on https://afcat.cdac.in/afcatreg/signin
Step 3: Select AFCAT 2 2022 application form correction
Step 4: Edit the information and save your changes.
AFCAT 1 2022 Vacancy Details:
A total of 317 vacancies are expected to be released by Indian Air Force for AFCAT 1 2022 exam. In the following table we have mentioned the number of vacancies for Flying, Ground Duty (Technical) and Ground Duty (Non-Technical) branches.

Types of Commission through AFCAT Exam
1. PC for Men:
Aspirants joining Air Force as an officers of the PC would continue to serve their branch and rank until the age of retirement.
2. SSC for Men & Women:
The commitment period for SSC officers of Indian Air Force of the Flying Branch is 14 years from the commissioning date (Non-extendable).
The initial tenure in Ground Duty (Tech and Non-Tech) branches for SSC officers would be for a ten-year period. Subject to the following factors- service requirements, vacancies, willingness, suitability and merit, an extension of four years may be granted.
Steps to Apply Online for AFCAT 01 2022
Step 1: Visit the official website- www.afcat.cdac.in
Step 2: Go to Candidate Login & Click on AFCAT 01/2022
Step 3: Click on "Not Yet Registered? Register Here"
Step 4: Enter your personal details with a Valid Email ID to Signup.
Step 5: Check your username & password in the Email ID
Step 6: Now you have to reset your password and log out.
Step 7: Login again with the new password by selecting your entry: AFCAT; NCC Spl Entry for Flying Branch
Step 8: Click on Instruction, Read them carefully & Proceed
Step 9: Enter the personal details, qualification, course preference & upload documents
Step 10: Choose the Centre of examination
Step 11: Make Payment & Check Status
Step 12: Submit your application
Age Limit for AFCAT 1 2022
1. Flying Branch:
The age limit is 20 to 24 years as of 01 January 2023, i.e. between 02 January 1999 and 01 January 2003 (including both dates). The upper age limit for applicants holding a valid and current DGCA (India) Commercial Pilot License is relaxed up to 26 years.
2. Ground Duty:
The age limit is 20 to 26 years as of 01 January 2023 i.e. born between 02 January 1997 to 01 January 2003 (both dates included).

Educational Qualification for AFCAT 1 2022
Category | Educational Qualification |
Flying Branch | Candidate must have scored 50% marks in both maths & physics in Class 12 along with a graduation degree (minimum 3 years) in any discipline from a recognised university with min. 60% marks. OR B. Tech degree from a recognised university with 60% marks or equivalent. OR Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognised University also, have scored a min. of 60% marks or equivalent. |
Ground Duty (Technical) Branch | Candidate must have scored a minimum 50% marks each in Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level and a minimum of four years degree graduation/integrated post-graduation qualification in Engineering/ Technology from recognized University. |
Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches | Candidate must have completed his/her 10+2 and Graduate Degree (Minimum 3 years degree course) in any discipline from a recognised university with a minimum of 60% marks. |

AFCAT Exam Pattern:
- The AFCAT 1 2022 will be for two hours and will include questions of multiple choices on verbal ability, numerical ability, reasoning, general awareness, and military ability.
- Engineering Knowledge Test (EKT) exam held on the same day after AFCAT for 45 minutes. Clearing the cutoff for both AFCAT & EKT is mandatory for candidates who opt for the ground duty (Technical) branch.
