AFCAT Selection Process 2021

IAF, Indian Air Force is the official recruitment conducting body for the Air Force Common Admission Test exam. Also, IAF follows a straightforward and unbiased AFCAT selection procedure to recruit candidates at the commissioned officer vacancies.

The AFCAT selection process is divided into different stages and the candidates are required to crack each stage in order to grab the desired seat in various entires - Flying Branch (Pilot), Ground Duty Technical (Electrical, Mechanical), Ground Duy Non-Technical (Administration, Logistics).

The AFCAT 2021 exam consists of an online examination which is followed by the Air Force Selection Board (AFSB) interview. The candidates who qualify for the AFCAT written exam receive the call letter for the AFSB interview.

Candidates who are recommended in the AFSB interview required to undergo a Medical examination. After this, a merit list is prepared by IAF for the AFCAT 2021 selection process and candidates will be called for the training in the Air Force Academy.

Candidates are selected through AFCAT purely on the basis of a merit-based procedure. Not only candidates have to show Officers like Qualities (OLQ’s) but they also have to match the medical standards of the Indian Air Force.

The AFCAT selection process 2021 selection board scrutinizes all the aspects of a candidate’s aptitude, psychology, personality, and knowledge, and only the candidate meets the standards of IAF.
