We need a constitution because, without it, it would be very difficult to govern the people of the country. A set of defined values, duties, and laws serve as a framework upon which the country runs. These defined values, duties, and laws are often set forth in the constitution.
The Constitution of India is the longest written constitution in the world, with a total of 146,385 words. The Indian Constitution not only defines the laws of the country but also states the fundamental rights of all the citizens of India.
Reasons why the Constitution is Important
There are many reasons why we need a constitution, and some of them are listed below:
