The Lion of Punjab is Lala Lajpat Rai. He was one of the members of the trio of Lal Bal Pal who played an active role in the freedom movement in India. He was a lawyer by profession and was also given the title of Punjab Kesari. Lala Lajpat Rai was a well-known nationalist figure who was instrumental in the fight for India’s independence.

Author, politician, and freedom fighter, Lala Lajpat Rai was from India. He was essential to the movement for Indian independence. He was commonly referred to as Punjab Kesari. He was one of the three members of the Lal Bal Pal Trimurti group or triumvirate.
- Lala Lajpat Rai was given the title of Lion of Punjab.
- He was a part of the Lal Bal Pal trio along with Bipin Chandra Pal and Bal Gangadhar Tilak which is a group formed by these three extremist leaders.
- He was born to a middle-class family in the Moga district of Punjab in 1865.
- Also, have the title of “Punjab Kesari”.
- Joined the Arya Samaj in Lahore as he was influenced by Swami Dayananda Saraswati.
- He played an active role in the fight against untouchability in Indian society.
- In 1921, he founded the Servants of People Society, which was a non-profit social service charity or organization meant to help people.
