The Nile is the world’s longest river, flowing through the African countries of Sudan and Egypt. The Nile flows into the Mediterranean, while the Amazon flows into the South Atlantic. The Nile’s drainage basin is vast, encompassing eleven countries: the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Burundi, Tanzania, Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Eritrea, South Sudan, the Republic of Sudan, and Egypt.
