The Activities Associated with the Chola Temples were worshipping and many other cultural, social, and economic activities. They were also centers of craft production. Chola temples were not limited to the regular religious activities of the temple. The Great Chola Temples are a set of the Chola dynasty’s Hindu temples in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu that have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

There are three most famous and greatly built Chola temples in the 11th and 12th centuries, which are the Temple of Gangaikondacholisvaram, the Brihadisvara temples of Thanjavur, and the Airavatesvara temple at Darasuram.
