What is the Difference between Early Nationalist and Assertive Nationalist?

The Difference between Early Nationalist and Assertive Nationalist is the former believed in liberal politics while the latter believed in radical policy. Early nationalists believed in loyalty to the British crown. They requested constitutional and other reforms within the framework of British rule as they believed in the British sense of justice and fairness.

Difference between Early Nationalist and Assertive Nationalist

Early nationalists were not striving for full independence, whereas demands of Assertive Nationalists were fierce to achieve complete independence from the British Empire.

The ideas of Western philosophers inspired them. Had support from the masses and drew their inspiration from India’s past.
Some of the moderate leaders were Dadabhai Naoroji and Ferozeshah Mehta. Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Bipin Chandra Pal, and Lala Lajpat Rai were famous Assertive Nationalists.
