State the Arguments against Democracy

The Arguments against Democracy is that change in leaders creates instability. There is no room for morality because democracy is about political competition and power games. Consultation with many people delays the process and leads to corruption because it is based on electoral competition. Ordinary people do not know what is right for them. Democracy refers to a form of government that is elected by the people of the country.

Arguments against Democracy

There are various demerits of a democratic government such as a rise in instability because of the changing leaders. Elected leaders are not aware of the interest of the people, there being no scope for morality as democracy is all about powerplay and politics. Delays in the process as consultation from so many people is required, ordinary people are not aware of the good for them, etc. are various reasons that act against it.

Democracy has not ended the major problems in the country such as poverty, unemployment, hunger, etc. In a democratic form of government, the efficiency of government is also not good due to changes in leadership.

  • Improves the quality of decision-making.
  • Enhances the dignity of the citizens.
  • Provides methods to deal with conflicts and differences.
  • It allows it to correct its own mistakes.
