How Many Candidates Applied for UPSC 2021?

Approximately 10,93,948 candidates applied for UPSC 2021. However, according to the Union Public Service Commission, only 5,08,619 people appeared for the UPSC exam in 2021. The Civil Services Examination 2021 was held on October 10th. Only 10,000 candidates passed the UPSC Prelims round and became eligible for the Mains. It is analyzed that the percentage of candidates who clear the exam is just 0.2%.

Out of 10,93,948 candidates who applied for UPSC 2021, only 5,08,619 appeared on the examination day. On May 30, 2022, the UPSC announced the final UPSC 2021 results.
- Shruti Sharma has achieved the All India Rank 1 position.
- The UPSC Prelims were held on October 10, 2021, and the results were announced on October 29, 2021.
- The UPSC Mains exam was held from January 7 to January 16, 2022.
- The shortlisted candidates advanced to the final round, the IAS interview or Personality Test, which began on April 5 and ended on May 26.
- 761 candidates passed the UPSC CSE final examination.
