ETPB stands for Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot System. This system recorded the highest service voter turnout ratio during the Lok sabha election in 2019. ETPB is transmitted through Electronic Means to the service voters. It is a one-way system which allows the service voters to cast their votes during the elections. It allows people outside of the country to participate in the elections in a way which does not compromise their votes.

The full form of ETBPS is the Electronically Transmitted Postal Ballot System. It allows service voters to cast their vote electronically from their preferred location, which is outside their originally assigned voting constituency. It provides an easier option for facilitating voting by the electors.
The individuals working in embassies outside the country and in the central forces under the arms act are known as service voters. It is formulated by the Election Commission of India with the assistance of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC).

- This service can be accessed by the service voters from anywhere outside their assigned constituency.
- It has two security layers namely OTP and PIN.
- OTP is required to download encrypted electronically transmitted postal ballot files whereas a PIN is necessary for decrypting, printing, and delivering ETPB.
- There is no chance of duplication of casted ETPB because of the unique quick response code.
