How to Apply Online for Assam TET 2021

1. Applications must be submitted in online mode only at the official website of http://ssa.assam.gov.in
   2. Afterwards candidates should click on TET (Teacher Eligibility Test)Icon. Candidates can also check out the Process Flow of form filling.
   3. Click on the apply online via the link – https://cetcell.net/TET_2021/?r
   4. Then candidates will click on the application form available on the left side of the page.
   5. Fill in the requisite details and make payment online.
   6. Finally take a printout of the application form for future reference.

Assam TET 2021: Application Fees

Candidates need to pay the fees in an online mode only. It is important to note that fees once received shall not be refunded.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Candidate applying for Assam TET (Lower & Upper Primary) must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of Assam 
2. Educational Qualification:

 

• Lower Primary TET (Classes I to V):

a) Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) OR
Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) OR
Graduation and two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) obtained from any recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in class I to V, provided the person so appointed as a teacher will have to mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE within two years of such appointment as the primary teacher.

b) A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February 2011, may also apply for TET. However, he can apply for an appointment only after acquiring all the required qualifications.

Remark: Candidate those who were admitted in D.El.Ed program before 31st August 2009 please refer to Clause B under subheading Relaxation.

• Upper Primary TET (Classes VI to VIII):

a) Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed) OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed). OR
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-year B.A./B. Sc. Ed. Or B.A. Ed/B. Sc. Ed. OR
Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B. Ed.(Special Education)

b) A person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Guideline dated 11th February 2011, may also apply for TET. However, he can apply for an appointment only after acquiring all the required qualifications.

Age Limit:

• The age of the candidate must not be less than 21 years of age. At the time of appointment in Govt./Prov. Schools’ upper and lower age limits will be applicable as per the Govt. rules/act prevailing at that time.
• The age limit of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the School Leaving Certificate /HSLC Admit Card/ Certificate issued by a recognized  Board/Council.

Assam TET Cut off:

It shall be noted that mere qualification with prescribed marks in the TET examination shall not confer on any candidate the right to employment as a teacher.

Validity of Assam TET:

1. Candidates who will pass the Assam TET will be awarded a certificate.

2. The Certificate will be valid for a lifetime from the date of issue of the certificate.
