Salary Structure of DSSSB TGT Teacher
DSSSB Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) salary is given in the below table. The salary structure is defined on the basis of the 7th pay commission and is applicable for the TGT of different subjects.

Daily Life of DSSSB TGT
- In Government Schools, teachers can work in two shifts (Morning or Evening).
- It is 6 hours job and the candidates can opt for any shift of their choice and there are four zones in Delhi – East, West, South & North.
- TGTs are the subject-specific teachers i.e.- English, Hindi, Maths, SST, Science, Computer Science, Sanskrit, etc.
- Despite teaching their subjects, they need to act as a class teacher also of any Grade and need to maintain an Attendance Register.
- From time to time they need to attend training is provided by the Delhi Government to enhance the skills of the teachers.
DSSSB TGT Job Profile
- TGTs are purely subject-specific teachers they taught their respective subjects i.e. English, Hindi, Maths, etc.
- Despite teaching, they need to attend Morning or Evening Assemblies.
- Teachers need to divide the syllabus into units and taught it in attractive ways to the students.
- Teachers need to conduct activities to make teaching style interesting.
- Teachers need to complete the syllabus prior to time.
- Teachers need to take tests in a frequent mode.
- In context to teaching, teachers need to maintain weekly, monthly, half-yearly, and yearly performance charts of the students.
DSSSB TGT Workload
- The teacher’s job is not only limited to teaching. The teacher acts as a role model to their students and helps them to develop an ethical code of conduct.
- As the students of Classes 6th to 10th considered to be teenager, it is a precious time of the student to inculcates good habits and manner and it totally depends on the Teacher abilities to mold students.
- Teachers should motivate students to take part in the debate, dance, songs, and other competitions being organized in the school premises in order to develop extracurricular skills within students.
- Teachers should motivate students to take part in sports activities.
