1. New Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure (AMI) sub-scheme of ISAM

A sub-scheme of the Integrated Scheme for Agricultural Marketing (ISAM), Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure (AMI), is being implemented by the government to help with the construction and renovation of godowns and warehouses in rural areas of the States in order to increase the storage capacity for agricultural products.

According to the category of qualified beneficiaries, the government offers a subsidy at a rate between 25 and 33.33 percent on the project’s capital cost under the scheme. 2. Agri Clinics and Agri-Business Centres Scheme (ACABC)

This innovative program was introduced by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Government of India, in collaboration with NABARD and MANAGE to improve farming practices for all farmers around the nation. This program intends to draw on the knowledge that the wide pool of agriculture graduates has to offer. You can open your own AgriClinic or AgriBusiness Center and provide qualified extension services to numerous farmers regardless of whether you are a recent graduate or not or whether you are employed or not.

3. Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme (DEDS)

With a 25 crore rupee investment, the Dairy/Poultry Venture Capital Fund initiative was launched in December 2004. From the fiscal year 2008–09, this program was divided into two distinct programs, the Dairy Venture Capital Fund and the Poultry Venture Capital Fund.

In order to increase the effectiveness of the Dairy Venture Capital Fund scheme through broader coverage, improved component-wise outlays, and the addition of additional components for assistance under the plan, it was redesigned as the Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme in June 2010.

Objectives of the Scheme

4. Interest Subvention Scheme

In his budget statement for 2006–07, the honorable finance minister stated that the government had resolved to guarantee that farmers obtain short-term financing at a rate of 7 percent with a maximum of Rs. 3.00 lakh on the principal amount. The policy became effective in Kharif 2006–2007. The amount of subvention was to be based on the crop loan amount from the date of disbursement up to the farmer’s actual date of repayment or up to the loan’s due date set by the banks, whichever came first, for a maximum of one year.


  • To boost manufacturing and service industry productivity.
  • To lower the cost of loans for MSMEs by providing incentives for their adoption of the GST in order to promote economic growth.

A. Incentive to farmers on prompt repayments

Since 2009–10, the Indian government has offered farmers an extra subvention of 1% as a reward for paying back their loans early, that is, on or before the due date or the date set by the bank, up to a maximum of one year. For 2010–11 and beginning in 2011–12, it has been raised to 2 and 3 percent, respectively.

B. Relief to farmers

An interest subsidy of 2% on the restructured amount of agricultural loans has been made available to banks for the first year in order to help farmers impacted by natural disasters. According to the RBI’s policy, these restructured loans will begin to accrue interest at the standard rate after the second year.

5. National Livestock Mission – Entrepreneurship Development & Employment Generation (NLM-EDEG)

Since 2014, the National Livestock Mission (NLM) program has been in place throughout the nation. During 2021–2022, the plan was adjusted. The primary goals of the reorganized National Livestock Mission (NLM) program are to enhance the production of beef, goat milk, eggs, and wool while also creating jobs and fostering entrepreneurship.
