Pondicherry University invites applications for admission to the following Post-Graduate programs of the Institute for the academic year 2017-2018 through their Online Based Entrance Test at designated center. All the interested and eligible candidates can apply online before 3^rd May 2017.

About The Institute

Pondicherry University is a central university in puducherry, India. Founded in 1985 by the Government of India, the university is a collegiate university with a jurisdiction spread over the Union Territories of Puducherry, Lakshadweep and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.It has 50,000 students in its 90 affiliated colleges including 10,000 students in the distance education mode. The current strength of students studying on-campus stands at 6,500.

It has introduced innovations like the Choice-based Credit System and on-line admission for postgraduate studies. Pondicherry University is ranked as one of the top ten Universities in India based on the survey conducted on 2013. Pondicherry University was ranked 13th by NIRF of Ministry of Human Resource Development as per the ranking released on April 2016.

Important Details

The reservation shall be in accordance with the policy of the UT Government of Puducherry. 75% of the seats are reserved for candidates from UT of Puducherry and 25% of the seats reserved for candidates from other States/UTs
Merit - cum - Means scholarships for eligible students.
All the full time scholars admitted to the Ph.D. of the University Departments will be eligible for a monthly fellowship of Rs.8000/- with contingency.

The application fee for NRI and Overseas Candidates is US$100.
Payment can be made either by:

Fees structure

For M.Tech course, total approximate fees excluding accommodation are (18050+2000+9400+2000 semester wise) 31450/-.
For Ph.D. course total approximate fees excluding accommodation are (29250+18900+18900 year wise) 67050/-.
