JPSC Eligibility Criteria 2023
JPSC exam is conducted for various posts of Deputy Collector, District Minority Welfare Officer, DSP, and Jail superintendent etc. Jharkhand PSC exam is one of the hardest exams of the state. Lakhs of aspirants appear for the JPSC each year for the most coveted positions in the executive level of Jharkhand. JPSC Age Limit
One of the most important and crucial parameters for determining the eligibility of a candidate is the JPSC age limit. A candidate needs to strictly fall under the age bracket mentioned by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission. The age limit might also vary according to the posts. JPSC Age Relaxation
The Jharkhand Public Service Commission provides a facility of relaxation in the upper JPSC age limit. This relaxation depends on the category of candidates. The relaxation limit may vary as per the category.

JPSC has given certain prerequisite in order to claim the benefit of age relaxation or reservation as given below:
- Candidate must have a Domicile of Jharkhand.
- A candidate claiming for the reservation of seat must produce the category certificate from the competent authority
- Candidates claiming reservation/age relaxation in multiple categories for the JPSC Exam shall be entitled to only one concession, whichever is more beneficial.
JPSC Educational Qualification
The candidates willing to apply for the JPSC examination, must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university/ equivalent. It is extremely important for a candidate to possess a minimum educational qualification apart from the JPSC age limit before applying for the exam.
- Applicants in the final year of graduation are not eligible unless they clear their examination by the last date of application submission.

Candidates applying for the Jharkhand Yojana service will be eligible if they hold a degree from a recognized University in any of the following subjects: Bachelor in Commerce, Statistics, Mathematics, Geography, Agricultural Science or Civil Engineering.
JPSC Physical Criteria
JPSC Eligibility 2023 states that the following physical criteria must be met for the following posts of Deputy Superintendent of Police / District Commander / Jail Superintendent and Probation Officer. The physical standards vary for men and women and across categories.
- Minimum length of reserved / backward and extremely backward class male candidates – 185 cm.
- Minimum length of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Caste male candidates – 182 cm.
- Minimum length of women of unreserved/backward and extremely backward class – 155 cm and a minimum length of women of scheduled caste and scheduled caste – 152 cm
- The minimum measurement of the chest of male candidates of general and backward and very backward classes will be 81 cm without inflating and the minimum measurement of the chest of male candidates of scheduled caste and scheduled caste will be 79 cm without inflating.
JPSC Eligibility 2023- Other Parameters
