JPSC Cut Off and Previous Year JPSC Cutoff must be referred to as it provides great insights about the level of the exam, competition level and helps you to set a target for the upcoming Exam. JPSC Cutoff 2022, Prelims Cutoff Marks

The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) will release the cutoff on the official portal- after the JPSC prelims 2022. Candidates need to score the minimum cutoff marks in order to advance to the next round. For each category, the expected cut-off marks differ. The cut off for Jharkhand Prelims 2021, which was held on September 19, 2021, is mentioned below:

JPSC Cutoff Marks 2022

To clear the JPSC, the candidate needs to clear JPSC Cutoff Marks for Prelims, Mains, and the total marking post Interview. JPSC Exam is conducted in 3 stages i.e. Preliminary Exam, Main Exam, and Interview. Candidates have to clear all the stages to get into the final list so as to be recommended for the Services.

Few important Pointers on JPSC Cut Off

  • In Preliminary Exam, marks of both papers will be considered to qualify for the mains examination. To know the details of the JPSC Exam Pattern 
  • Marks obtained in the Preliminary exam is not counted in the preparation of the final cut-off after the Main and Interview.
  • JPSC releases the Official cutoff only after declaring the final result of the Jharkhand Civil Services Exam.

How is JPSC Cutoff calculated?

There is no comprehensive detail about how the cutoff is calculated. However, there are few factors that mostly affect the cut-off are:

  1. Number of vacancies
  2. The difficulty level of the exam
  3. Number of applicants who appeared for the exam
  4. Average performance by students.

JPSC Prelims Cutoff 

Generally, the number of candidates selected for the Main (Written) Examination is approximately 15 times the total number of vacancies to be filled.  Only those candidates who clear the Prelims Cutoff will be eligible for admission to the Main (Written) Examination. 

JPSC Mains Cutoff

The JPSC Mains Cutoff determines the candidates who are selected for the Interview. 

JPSC Final Cutoff

The final merit list is prepared on the basis of overall marks obtained in the Main (Written Test) and Mains (Interview Test). The Prelims Marks are not considered for the final cutoff. The official JPSC Cutoff is released along with the final result. 

JPSC Cutoff: Minimum Qualifying Marks 

Candidates who obtain minimum qualifying marks of 40% in aggregate shall only be considered by the Commission while preparing the selection list for the Main (Written) Examination and for preparing the merit list for the purpose of the Interview Test

However, the minimum qualifying marks shall be relaxable as per the following criterion –
