• January 2021 – The APJ Abdul Kalam Study Centre at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong, which is supported by the Ministry of Development of the North Eastern Region (DoNER), will help in the implementation of the new National Education Policy (NEP) in the Northeast, Union Minister Jitendra Singh said.

Indian Institute of Management Shillong Placements Process involves the following steps.

• An interactive session is organized between students and company representatives where students get information about the job profiles, roles & responsibilities, job location, etc. These sessions are called Pre Placement Talks. Pre Placement Talks help students to decide and apply for the discussed job roles.
• The profiles of interested candidates and other information are shared with recruiters.
• Companies are invited on-campus to conduct recruitment drives according to the interest shown by the students.
• Companies conduct group discussions and interviews of shortlisted students.

IIM Shillong Selection Process

The Indian Institute of Shillong admission process is quite straightforward. It has not changed much over the years. It includes the following phases. All aspirants interested in IIM Shillong Admissions must be well acquainted with the entire selection process.

• Phase 1- Entrance Exam: Firstly, all the candidates must complete the CAT/GMAT test if they want admission to IIM Shillong. The tests will be based on guidelines concerning nationality along with other factors.

Indian Institute of Management Shillong offers post-graduate students a variety of scholarships based on their grades and financial needs. • Library- The library of IIM Shillong is fully automated and has an avid collection of reference books, general books, textbooks, working papers, and other documents. The non-book collection section has a compact disc, video cassettes, etc. It is also equipped with relevant and requisite e-resources such as ebooks, databases, and e-journals.
• The canteen/Cafeteria of IIM Shillong serves four meals a day, a variety of seasonal fruits, a variety of sweet dishes, and cuisines to suit the diverse palette of its students. Food is also available during the night for the students.
• Hostel- Accommodation for both boys and girls with single and double occupancy rooms within the campus is available. Hostels are connected to a fast Wireless Mesh Network (WMN). The hostel offers 24-hour internet access, fully automatic washing machines, a hairdresser, a music room, a student library, a television, and recreational facilities. The rooms of IIM Shillong are adequate in size and storage capacity, and the hostel also offers washing and ironing services. Visitors will have access to an intercom system as well as guest rooms. Students have access to facilities such as a badminton court, basketball court, and cricket ground.
• Sports facilities- Badminton Court, Basketball Court, Swimming Pool, Table-Tennis, Cricket Ground, and Volley Ball playing ground are available on the IIM Shillong campus.
