Indian Institute of Management Shillong Placements Process involves the following steps.
- An interactive session is organized between students and company representatives where students get information about the job profiles, roles & responsibilities, job location, etc. These sessions are called Pre Placement Talks. Pre Placement Talks help students to decide and apply for the discussed job roles.

The Indian Institute of Shillong admission process is quite straightforward. It has not changed much over the years. It includes the following phases. All aspirants interested in IIM Shillong Admissions must be well acquainted with the entire selection process.
- Phase 1- Entrance Exam: Firstly, all the candidates must complete the CAT/GMAT test if they want admission to IIM Shillong. The tests will be based on guidelines concerning nationality along with other factors.

- Library- The library of IIM Shillong is fully automated and has an avid collection of reference books, general books, textbooks, working papers, and other documents. The non-book collection section has a compact disc, video cassettes, etc. It is also equipped with relevant and requisite e-resources such as ebooks, databases, and e-journals.
- The canteen/Cafeteria of IIM Shillong serves four meals a day, a variety of seasonal fruits, a variety of sweet dishes, and cuisines to suit the diverse palette of its students. Food is also available during the night for the students.
