Reserve Bank of India has 19 regional offices and 4 zonal offices. RBI is spread over 31 different locations in India. The headquarter of the Reserve Bank of India is located in Mumbai. Reserve Bank of India is the central bank of India, that started operations on April 1, 1935, under the Reserve Bank of India Act. RBI has 65 branches in 26 states/union territories of India. RBI is responsible for regulating the monetary policy of India, and various financial operations.

RBI has four zonal offices in Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai. Delhi symbolizes the North Region, Kolkata the East Region, Mumbai the West Region, and Chennai the South Region. The 19 regional offices of RBI can be located in Thiruvananthapuram, Bhubaneshwar, Bhopal, Patna, Nagpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, Kochi, Kolkata, Jammu, Kanpur, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Bangalore. With a few exceptions, these offices are mostly located in the state capitals.
