Process To Apply For GAT-B and BET 2023
DBT JRT Online Application 2023
Here are the steps mentioned below that the candidates need to follow in order to apply for the DBT JRF 2022 BET & GAT-B 2022 exam.
- The candidates should read the instructions (including how to fill up the Application Form
online) given in the Information Bulletin carefully, the information is available on the NTA Website. - The candidates can apply for GAT-B or BET 2022 or both through the “Online” mode. Any other mode of application will not be accepted.
- The candidates can only apply once irrespective of whether they are applying for GAT-B or BET 2022 or both. In case, any candidate is applying for both of the exams, they have to pay a double examination Fee.
Instructions Regarding Filling the Online Application Form:
The Candidates Must Download the Information Bulletin and Read Carefully About the Eligibility, Procedure, and Documentation that Is Required for Filling in The Online Application Form for DBT JRF 2023.
The steps to follow to Apply Online:
Step-1: The candidates must register themselves online using their own Mobile No and Email ID. They should also note down their Application Number.
Step-2: The candidates should only upload the legible scanned images of (i) a recent photograph (in jpg/ jpeg file, size
10Kb – 200Kb) in colour black or white with 80% face visible including ears with white background; (ii) The signature of the candidate (file size: 4kb – 30kb); (iii) Certificate to Proof Date of Birth(file size 50 kb-300 kb);(iv) Certificate for Appearing/Result Awaiting Candidates (file size 50 kb-300 kb) (v)PwD Certificate (file size 50 kb-300 kb) if any (vi). The Category Certificate (required file size 50 kb-300 kb).
Step-3: The prescribed fee can be paid via Debit Card / Net Banking/ Credit Card / UPI / Wallet and keep proof of fee paid for future reference.
- After the submission of the Online Application Form after step 3, the candidates should be able to download the confirmation page for the Application Form and to print it out (the Confirmation Page of the online Application Form will only be generated after the successful fee payment). The candidate should approach the concerned Payment Gateway integrator in case the Confirmation Page is not generated even after the fee payment. NTA will refund any double transaction money if received.
- NTA does not be considered responsible for any modification of any information entered by the candidate. The candidates must fill out the application form carefully.
- Information provided by the candidate such as name, address, contact details, category details, educational qualification details, PwD status, choice of exam cities, date of birth, etc in the Application Form will be considered final. The candidates must apply for any required changes before the closure of the correction period.
- The Candidates must register their own mobile number and email address in their application Form as any important information/communication will be sent by NTA on the registered mobile number or e-mail address via SMS.
- The Candidates visit the official website of TA on regular basis for the latest updates.
Eligibility Criteria For GAT-B 2023 and BET 2023
The candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the GAT-B and BET 2023 exams are given below.
Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) 2023
- The candidates who are bonafide Indian nationals are the only ones eligible to apply for GAT-B 2022 exam.
- In case, any candidate does not meet the minimum eligibility criteria of the Universities and still sits for the examination rules of cancellation or termination of respective Universities is most likely to be applicable.
- The Candidates meeting the minimum eligibility criteria of Participating Universities (APPENDIX-II) are eligible to apply for GAT-B 2022 entrance exam.
- Under the result awaited (RA) category, a candidate who has either appeared or is to be appearing in the final examination of their qualifying degree is eligible to apply for GAT-B 2022. Any such candidate must submit their Attestation/Undertaking Form duly stamped by the Head of the Institute (along with the name and address).
- Regional Centre for Department of Biotechnology (DBT) or Biotechnology (RCB) will not play any role in the selection process (cancellation/transfer/fee refund policy/conversion of seats) of Universities.
- Failing in the finals will result in the rejection of the application. Attestation/Undertaking Form for appearing/RA candidates are provided at APPENDIX-III.
Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2023
- The Candidate must be a resident of India and a bonafide citizen.
- The candidates must have a Bachelors degree (B.Tech/ B.E./M.B.B.S) and Masters degree (M.Tech./M.Sc./ Integrated M.Sc./M.VSc./M. Pharm./ M.Tech.) in any field relevant to Biotechnology, Life Sciences such as Bioinformatics, Biomedical, Botany, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Computational Biology, Chemistry, Genetics, Zoology, Microbiology.
- The minimum marks required for General, EWS & OBC category is 60% and for SC/ ST/ Differently Abled candidates in aggregate is 55% (or equivalent grade).
- The candidates who are admitted in any of the M.Tech./M.Sc./ M.Sc (Agri)/ M.VSc. programmes that are supported under the DBT Post Graduate Teaching Programme will be eligible to apply. Candidates to appear in the final semester or RA category can also apply.
- The appearing candidate from the General and EWS category must be Upto 28 years of age as of the last application date. The candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Differently Abled/ Women candidates and upto 3 years (31 years) for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) are provided with the age relaxation of 5 years.
- Under the result awaited (RA) category, a candidate who has either appeared or is to be appearing in the final examination of their qualifying degree is eligible to apply for GAT-B 2022. Any such candidate must submit their Attestation/Undertaking Form duly stamped by the Head of the Institute (along with the name and address).
