  • Antonyms: set out, remain
  • Usage in a sentence: I packed up my stuff and drove to Detroit.

 3Word: Aeon (अनंत काल)

  • Pronunciation: ee-uhn/ईअन
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning
    a. Long periods of time
  • Synonyms: age, period, eternity, eon
  • Antonyms: moment
  • Usage in a sentence: It is older than life itself, it predates human existence and it flowed over the land aeons before man learned to speak.

4. Word: Tantrum (गुस्से का आवेश)

  • Pronunciation: टैन्ट्रम/tan-tram
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning - an uncontrolled outburst of anger and frustration that is often deemed childish
  • Synonyms-: rage, fit, temper
  • Antonyms - peace, calm, contentment
  • Usage in a sentence - He always flies into a tantrum when he is contradicted.

5. Word: Cling (चिपका रहना)

  • Pronunciation: kling/ क्लिंग
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning: hold on tightly to.
  • Synonyms: stick, adhere, hang
  • Antonyms: detach, let go, unfasten
  • Usage in a Sentence: You can't cling to the past, because no matter how tightly you hold on, it's already gone.

6. Word: Monopoly (एकाधिकार)

  • Pronunciation: muh-nop-uh-lee/मनापली
  • Part of Speech: Noun
  • Meaning: the exclusive possession or control of the supply of or trade in a commodity or service. 
  • Synonyms: dominance, control
  • Antonyms: sharing
  • Usage in a Sentence: The company has a virtual monopoly in this area of trade.

7. Word: Manoeuvre (पैंतरेबाज़ी करना)

  • Pronunciation: muh-noo-ver/मनूवर
  • Part of Speech: Noun, Verb
  • Meaning: 
    a. move skilfully or carefully.
    b. carefully guide or manipulate (someone or something) in order to achieve an end.
  • Synonyms: artifice, manipulate
  • Antonyms: innocence, sincerity
  • Usage in a Sentence: His resignation from the competition was a tactical manoeuvre.

8. Word: Ergo (अतएव)

  • Pronunciation: ur-goh/अर्गो
  • Part of Speech: Adverb
  • Meaning:
    a. therefore
    b. a Latin word meaning "therefore"
  • Synonyms: consequently, hence, accordingly
  • Usage in a sentence: It will tend to be the more prestigious universities that benefit; ergo, the existing hierarchy of universities will be reinforced.

9. Word: Deride (उपहास करना)

  • Pronunciation: dih-rahyd/डिराइड
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning:
    a. to laugh at someone or something in a way that shows you think they are stupid or of no value
  • Synonyms: ridicule, mock, scorn, taunt
  • Antonyms: respect, commend, compliment
  • Usage in a sentence: This building, once derided by critics, is now a major tourist attraction.

10. Word: Lurk (छुपा रहना)

  • Pronunciation: lurk/लर्क
  • Part of Speech: Verb
  • Meaning:
    a. to lie or wait in concealment, as a person in ambush; remain in or around a place secretly or furtively
    b. to go furtively; slink; steal
    c. to exist unperceived or unsuspected
  • Synonyms: hide, sneak, lie in wait, creep
  • Antonyms: expose, come out, reveal, visible
  • Usage in a sentence: Someone was lurking in the shadows.
