1. Indo-US joint training exercise “YUDH ABHYAS 22” begins in Uttarakhand
- The 18th edition of India-US joint military training exercise 'Yudh Abhyas 22' has been started in Auli, Uttarakhand.
- Focus: High altitude and extremely cold climate warfare
- The exercise has been participated by US Army soldiers of 2nd Brigade of the 11th Airborne Division and Indian Army soldiers from the Assam Regiment.
- This joint military exercise is conducted annually between India and US with the aim of exchanging best practices, Procedures, Tactics, Techniques.

2. LeadIT Summit 2022 hosted by India and Sweden in Egypt
- India and Sweden jointly hosted the LeadIT Summit 2022, on the sidelines of COP27 at Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt.
- The LeadIT (Leadership for Industry Transition) initiative focuses on low carbon transition of the hard to abate industrial sector.
- The summit was attended by Bhupender Yadav (Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change).
- The current phase of LeadIT will conclude in 2023 and the next year is the time to reflect on the performance and achievements so far

3. India ranks eighth on 2023 Climate Change Performance Index
- In the Climate Change Performance Index 2023 (CCPI, India has ranked eighth out of 63 countries.
- The Climate Protection Performance is assessed in four categories: Greenhouse Gas emissions, Renewable Energy, Energy use, and Climate Policy.
- In Greenhouse Gas Emissions and Energy Use category, India has been rated high, while in Climate Policy and Renewable Energy, nation rated medium.
- The report placed Denmark in fourth place, followed by Sweden and Chile.

4. Infosys Science Foundation announced Infosys Prize 2022
- The Infosys Science Foundation (ISF) has announced the winners of the Infosys Prize 2022 in six categories.
- The award conferred for their contributions to science and research impacting India.

5. RBI gives approval for opening of nine Vostro accounts of Russian banks
- The RBI has given its approval for opening of nine Vostro accounts of Russians banks with banks in India.
- Aim: To allow bilateral trade to take place in rupee
- Three accounts have already been opened—Gazprom Bank with UCO Bank and VTB and Sber Bank with their own branch offices in India.
- The remaining six are likely to be opened by Indusind bank.
- The RBI has allowed the special vostro accounts to invest the surplus balance in Indian government securities

6. NASA’s Artemis mission launches successfully
- NASA's Artemis 1 mission has successfully took off from Launch Pad 39B at Kennedy Space Center in Florida, US.
- The project, comprising the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket and Orion spacecraft.
- It carries a toy called Shaun the Sheep, and two dummies, Helga and Zohar which pack 5,600 radiation sensors.
- Ten payloads, including Lunar IceCube and Lunar Polar Hydrogen Mapper, are also onboard.
- The Artemis 1 project will be followed by the Artemis 2 and Artemis 3 missions.

7. East Timor to become 11th member of ASEAN
- The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has agreed to admit East Timor as the 11th member of the group.
- The Timor Leste will also be granted observer status at high-level ASEAN meetings.
- The country would be the first new member of the regional grouping, since Cambodia was admitted in 1999.
- ASEAN was founded on August 8, 1967 in Bangkok Thailand.
- Members: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam

8. Coastal Defence Exercise 'Sea Vigil-22' commenced
- The third edition of the ‘Pan-India’ Coastal Defence Exercise ‘Sea Vigil-22’ has organised from 15th -16th November 2022.
- The exercise held along the entire 7516 km coastline and Exclusive Economic Zone of India.
- It is also involved all the Coastal States and UTs along with other maritime stakeholders, including the fishing and coastal communities.
- It is conducted by the Indian Navy, Coast Guard and other ministries entrusted with the task of maritime activities.

9. Assam gov.t launched Mission Basundhara 2.0
- The Assam government has launched Mission Basundhara 2.0 with an aim to provide land rights to only natives.
- It is only for the indigenous people with mandatory three generation clear residency.
- Gov.t will verify the residency claims if gov.t have doubts.
- The doubtful claims will be reviewed later.
- The first phase of Mission Basundhara was launched last year.
- During the event, the Assam CM, Hemant Biswa has also launched e-stamping facilities in the State.

10. Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games mascot unveiled
- President of the Paris 2024 Organising Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Tony Estanguet has unveiled the mascots for Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
- The mascot for Paris 2024 is "The Phryges".
- It is a red Phrygian caps, type of hat that has become an enduring symbol of freedom throughout French history.
- Motto: Alone we go faster, but together we go further
- The mascot of Paris 2024 is a non-gender-specific mascot.

11. Rane Group chairman, L. Ganesh conferred with Deming award
- Rane Group chairman, L. Ganesh was conferred with the prestigious Deming award for outstanding contribution in dissemination and promotion (overseas) of total quality management (TQM).
- He is the third Indian and fifth globally to be bestowed with this prestigious award.
- This award was established in 1951, to pay tribute to W. Edwards Deming, who made a significant contribution to the spread of statistical quality control in Japan, following World War II.

12. DEA, MoHUA and World Bank organise Cities Creditworthiness Academy Workshop
- The Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA), and the World Bank Group are jointly organising “Cities Creditworthiness Academy” workshop.
- Aim: To create an enabling ecosystem for financing future cities of India
- Theme: Vision of Future Cities and Role of Municipal Financing
- The workshop was inaugurated by Ajay Seth (Secretary, DEA, MoF); Manoj Joshi (Secretary, MoHUA) and Country Director, World Bank (WB), India.

13. India, Finland agree to explore new areas of cooperation
- India and Finland have agreed to enhance partnership in areas such as digital partnership in Future ICT, Future Mobile Technologies and digital education.
- Both countries also emphasised on having institutionalised joint working groups on areas of mutual interest.
- The decision was taken during a meeting between Finland’s Minister of Education and Culture, Petri Honkonen and Minister of Science and Technology, Jitendra Singh in New Delhi.
