DU JAT Eligibility Criteria 2022 prescribes the minimum required eligibility criteria and qualification to appear in DU JAT Exam. DU JAT Eligibility Criteria 2022

Delhi University Joint Admission Test (JAT) 2022 is a national-level entrance test. It is conducted every year by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The purpose of this test is to provide admission to the candidates into an undergraduate course like BMS, BBA, BA (H) Business Economics in the 16 colleges affiliated with Delhi University. The DU JAT Exam 2022 mainly comprises four subjects: General English, Quantitative Ability, Reasoning, Analytical Ability, and Business & General Awareness.

DU JAT Age limit 2022

There is no Age Limit to apply for DU JAT 2022. Candidates must have attained 18 years of age to be eligible for the DU JAT exam. Fill out the DU JAT online application after checking the education qualification below.

DU JAT Education Qualification 2022

As per the DU JAT education qualification, a candidate should pass/qualified 10+2 examination from any board/recognized university or institute in India.  

Appearing - Candidates who are appearing in the 12th class and waiting for their final result can also apply for this test. 

Minimum Percentage Requirement

  • Any candidate who belongs to the General Category should have scored at least 60% in the class 12th examination. The Delhi University will consider the aggregate of marks scored in 4 papers - Mathematics, English, and two other subjects which the university has approved.
  • If the candidate belongs to SC, ST, CW, and PwD, category, then he/she should have scored at least 55% in the class 12th examination. The Delhi University will consider the aggregate of marks scored in 4 papers - Mathematics, English, and two other subjects which the university has approved.

Note:

Admission of the pursuing 12th class candidates will be provisional and will be canceled if the above-stated criteria would not be satisfied.

  • Any candidate who is applying for the application form of the DU JAT Exam is required to pass separately in each subject of the 12th class. 
  • Applicants must possess an authenticated result and mark sheet of the qualifying examination. 
  • If a candidate fails to produce required documents during the document verification process, the admission will be canceled. 
  • Any candidates applying to OBC-non creamy layer/SC/ST/PwD/CW categories must carry a category certificate.

DU JAT Eligibility Criteria 2022 - Category Wise Reservation 

  • As per the university eligibility criteria norms, they have reserved 27 percent of the seats for the candidates who belong to the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category. 
  • OBC candidates are going to be provided absolute liberty on the marks secured within the examination.
  • 10% relaxation on the minimum score requirement is given to the candidates belonging to the OBC category.
  • As per the authority norms, 15% of total seats are reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes, and 7.5% of the entire seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes. The above figures are interchangeable as per the need. Therefore, 22.5% of the whole seats are reserved for the Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Castes category candidates. A 5% relaxation on the score obtained is given for the candidates' minimum eligibility criteria belonging to the ST/SC category.
  • EWS (Economically Weaker Section)- As per the authority norm, 10% of the entire seats are reserved for candidates belonging to the EWS category.
  • Less than 5% of the entire seats are reserved for the candidates belonging to people with benchmark disability, for widows or children of Personnel of Armed forces, Kashmiri migrants, nominated Sikkimese students, ward quota, or Prime Minister's Special Scholarship for Jammu and Kashmir by the Delhi University.

  • Any aspirant who is appearing and waiting for the 12th class result can also apply for the DU JAT Exam. However, you have to produce the 10+2 passing certificates at the time of final admission process.

  • As mentioned above, candidates must have secured a minimum 60% for General, EWS, and NC-OBC or 55% for SC, ST and PWD to use for the DU JAT Exam.

  • The overall percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in X and XII Standard would be calculated to support the mixture marks of all subjects that appear within the mark sheet/grade sheet, regardless of the Board from where the scholar appeared for sophistication 12th exam.

  • The University of Delhi conducts DU JAT exam for BBA/BBE/BMS program once in a year.  There is no any specific limitation on the number of attempts for the DU JAT exam.
