The respected sage Ved Vyasa is the writer of Mahabharat. Vyasa was the son of Rishi Parashara and Satyawati and is considered one of the seven immortals per Hindu mythology. He is also the author of 18 major Hindu Puranas, and the festival of Guru Purnima is dedicated to him.
- Since Mahabharat is an ancient epic and one of the two primary Hindu texts, it has been translated into multiple languages by different people.
