Bhagat Singh formed the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association. Earlier, it was known by the name of the Hindustan Republican Army. The Hindustan Socialist Republican Association was a revolutionary institution instituted in 1928. Hindustan Socialist Republican Association Founder
Founded by Bhagat Singh, the association was previously known as the Hindustan Republican Army and Hindustan Republican Association. The name changed as the anti-colonial sentiment started increasing after the Simon Commission. It was formed to create constitutional reforms, which many Indians protested against.
It was during this time that the famous slogan, ‘Simon Go Back’ was introduced in an effort to force the British government to take back these reforms. The leaders of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association were Sachindra Nath Sanyal and Bhagat Singh. The motive behind forming this association was the independence of India.
