Pratyush is the name of the supercomputer of India, and it is the most popular and powerful supercomputer ever known in India. The Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) continues to use it to research and forecast weather patterns. In a recent ranking of the top 100 fastest supercomputers in the world, this Indian supercomputer was listed at position 78. The PARAM-SIDDHI is the newest supercomputer in India to be ranked among the top 100.

Pratyush, the supercomputer of India, has 3315 nodes, with each node having an 18-core processor. The supercomputer has a total memory storage capacity of 414 terabytes and a RAM of 1.5 Terabytes.
- Supercomputers of India have been extensively used for predicting the weather, quantum calculations, and measuring a molecular structures, and even have more such applications.
- Another name of the supercomputer of India is PARAM-Siddhi, which ranks 63rd on the same list.
- PARAM-Siddhi is the fastest Indian supercomputer to date, kept in the headquarters of the Center for Development of Advanced Computers in Pune.
Prathyush and Mihir, which cost INR 438.9 Crore in total and have a top speed of 6.8 PetaFlops, are the fastest supercomputers in India as of January 2018. On January 8, 2018, Dr Harsh Vardhan, the Union Minister for Science and Technology, launched the system. The rising sun is described by the word “Pratyush.”
