The Gas inside the Electric Bulb is Nitrogen. Inert gases are used to be filled in the electric bulbs commonly available on the market. These gases prevent the oxidation process of oxygen and tungsten used in the filament of electric bulbs. Some examples of inert gases are Argon, Neon, Helium, etc. These Gases are non-reactive in nature. That’s why it gets filled in the electric bulbs.

The Group-18 elements, commonly known as inert gases, are used in the electric bulb. It helps to prevent the oxidation of tungsten filament. Nitrogen is also used with inert gases. So it helps to reduce the wearing of the tungsten for a long time.
