Hello, friends. This is Piscine Molitor (Pi) sharing with you all some Tips and Strategies to Crack the most awaited IBPS Clerk Prelims 2015 Exam.

Let’s check the pattern of the IBPS Clerk Prelim 2015 Exam

The Prelims Exam is comprised of 3 different sections, namely:

1. Test of English Language: 30 questions, 30 marks

2. Test of Reasoning: 35 questions, 35 marks.

3. Test of Numerical Ability: 35 questions, 35 marks.

Total questions = 100

Total Marks = 100

Total Time = 1 hrs.

Timing will play a vital role in the Prelims exam. So, let’s classify the type of question according to timings.

I. English Language

Time consuming questions are:

1. Reading comprehension (lengthy one)

2. Para Jumble

So, first attempt the remaining questions from:

1. Synonyms/Antonyms from the reading comprehensions.

2. Sentence improvement

3. Fill in the blanks

4. Error finding

5. Cloze test

You can attempt 22 – 25 questions easily from this section.

II. Reasoning Ability

Some questions would be time consuming. The list of time consuming questions (more time consuming first to less time consuming) are:

(i) Sitting arrangement (Circular)

(ii)  Floor puzzle

(iv) Linear Arrangement

So, try to solve these questions in the end (if you have time) and solve the questions from these sections in the beginning:

1. Syllogism

2. Inequality

3. Coding Decoding

4. Miscellaneous Questions (Blood Relations, Ranking, Direction Test, etc.)

Going by this, you can very well attempt 26 – 30 questions easily without wasting much time.

III. Numerical Ability

This section is the most time consuming. So, here again let’s classify the time consuming questions first. Time consuming questions:

1. Miscellaneous questions

2. One DI Set (Missing / Mixed)

The rest questions would be easy to solve (but calculative). So solve these questions first:

1. Simplification

2. Approximation

3. Number Series

4. One DI Set (tabular, line graph, bar graph)

You can attempt 22 – 25 questions from this section keeping the above mentioned points in mind.
