Mizoram TET Notification 2020: MTET Dates, Test, Eligibility, Marks of Paper 1 and Paper 2

Mizoram TET Notification 2020 Out! Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) has released the notification of Mizoram Teacher Eligibility Test (Mizoram TET) for Primary (I To V Class) and Upper Primary (VI To VIII Class) level. The MTET Exam will be held on 16th October 2020 and the Last Date To Submit Application Form in an Offline Mode – 22nd September 2020. Candidates can view the notification from the link given below:-

1. Mizoram TET Educational Qualifications for Paper – 1 (Primary Level)
Mizoram TET Details:-

1. | Paper- I & II will be of 150 marks each. |
2. | All questions in the MTET test will be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each carrying one mark, with four alternatives out of which one answer will be most appropriate. |

4. | There will be two papers of MTET. (a) Paper, I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V. (b) Paper-II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII. |
5. | There will be no negative marking. |
6. | The medium of the question paper shall be in English except for the Mizo subject. |
7. | A person who scores 55% or more in the MTET examination will be considered as MTET pass. The Candidates securing 55% and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate. |
8. | The Validity Period of MTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories. |
Mizoram TET Eligibility Criteria:-
Primary Teacher
Serial No. | Minimum Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V: Primary Stage |
1. | Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) |
2. | Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. |
3. | Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). |
4. | Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education) |
5. | Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). |

1. | Graduation 50 % marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name is known). |
2. | Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). |
3. | Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. |
4. | Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). |
5. | Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed. (Special Education). |

Important Points:-
1. Candidates can submit their application via offline mode by filling the form available in the notification.
2. Candidates must purchase the information brochure from the MBSE.
3. The MTET shall apply to Government Schools, Deficit Schools, Government Aided Schools within Mizoram.
4. The MTET may also apply to the unaided private schools, who may exercise the option of considering the CTET.
