Database entries are called records. A record in a database is actually a collection of information organized in the form of a table. This table can be of a specific topic or category. Record is also often referred to as a tuple. Where n records are combined to form a set of records it can be referred to as a data set or a data file. A data sheet is called a table in normal language.

When a record is properly stored in spreadsheets database is created. Database is a more consolidated version that stores records ina meaningful formt that was previously stored in separate files.
