Success Story : Krishna Somani (IBPS Clerk 2017 - Bank of Baroda)

My journey for the banking sector started in August 2016 as I completed my B.Sc. in that year. I decided to take admission at Mahendra Institute in Indore. 

 

In my first year of preparation, I cleared IBPS Clerk, RRB Clerk.  But I failed to clear the Mains of both the Exams. I realized that I was lagging in GA section.Through my friends, I came to know about Daily Gk Update(Grade Up).I started preparing from that. I realized that I have to improve myself a lot in order to cope up with the today's Competitive Exams. 

I also realized that Exams can't be cleared only by hard work so I prepared to work smart this year.According to me smart work is the selection of questions, time management, speed and accuracy. 

 

*I also followed some youtube channels:-

1. Mahendra guru (for English & Maths) 

2. Amar Sir (for Maths) 

3. Study Iq (for GA) 

 

* For Reasoning I never suggested anyone to watch any video. It can only be mastered by practice.Solve quizzes and 4-5 puzzles daily. 

 

*For English I would suggest to read the newspaper and solve daily quizzes (provide by Grade Up daily). Learn at least 10-15 vocabulary everyday and revise them on next day with 10 new words and till on. 

 

*For Quantitative Aptitude I suggest to practice Simplifications, Number Series,  DI  first because these are the main topics in prelims. But for miscellaneous improve your basics (I used RS Agarwal) should be clear.Miscellaneous questions play a vital role in Mains because students don't practice this part well. For building your concepts for miscellaneous you can follow any teacher from whom you can better understand. 

 

* For GA I made proper notes on daily basis. Read daily GK Update of Gradeup, newspaper and downloaded capsules of gradeup on a monthly basis which helped me a lot in Mains.You can also follow youtube channels. 

 

* I also suggest you to give at least one speed test daily as it will helping you to realize your strength and weakness and you can find different- different approaches to solve questions. 

 

1. RRB PO (  Mains not cleared)

2. RRB Clerk(Mains not cleared)

3. IBPS PO(Prelims not cleared)

 

And Finally 

 

4. IBPS clerk (Cleared 110.25 marks and Selected as Clerk in Bank Of Baroda).
