When Did You Started Preparing for the CSIR NET Exam?
When I was in M.Sc Biotechnology, I got an opportunity to work with NDRI and I accepted the offer and started working with them. Then I realised there are many students who already have cleared the CSIR-NET exam in NDRI so I got this inspiration from them and thought to give it a try and hence I started preparing for it. I cleared this exam with only 8-9 months of preparation.
What Was Your Preparation Strategy for the CSIR-NET Exam?
The only preparation strategy which I followed during my initial preparation was just gone through the whole syllabus and understood it's each and every topic. As the syllabus is very vast, it contains 13 units, and you need to choose at least 10-11 units to prepare well for the exam depending upon your subject in graduation. I selected all 13 units and practice PYQ's which actually helped me a lot for covering all 13 units.
What Does It Take To Ace CSIR-NET Exam With Rank 1 and What Extra Efforts Did You Put in?
Well, I must say Revision is the key to cracking the exam with good rank. I did multiple revisions during my preparation. Everyone study but how you are able to remember that particular topic for a longer time, will only come from revision. Revision is very important and a must step to do after each and every topic. It was my second attempt, I already did mistakes in my first attempt that I have not revised properly and thus not helped me to crack the exam earlier.
What Were the Challenges That You Faced While Preparing For The CSIR NET Exam?
Covid-19 impacted several lives and thus impacted mine also. It demotivated me a lot during my preparation and put me in confusing state that whether the exam will happen or not. Just because of this reason, I started my B.ED during that time to reduce the negative vibes. Also, I applied in various schools post covid so that I couldn't lose my touch with studies. But, I would like to give credit to my husband, he forced me and told me that CSIR-NET definitely conducted this year and you shouldn't lose your spirit for it and thus I continued my preparation which results in securing a AIR 1 rank.
