Logical Arrangement of Words

Logical Arrangement is the meaningful arrangement of words in accordance with the natural laws and universally accepted concepts. The different types of questions covered in this chapter are as follows.

  •  The sequence of Occurrence of Events or Various Stages in a Process
  •  The sequence of Objects in a Class or Group
  • The sequence in Ascending or Descending Order
  • Sequential Order of Words According to DictionaryIn this type of problem, a sequence is to be formed with the given number of words in such a way that the particular arrangement of the words gives a logical step by step completion of some process or activity. In these questions, four/five/six words are given which are related to each other in some or another way. The candidate is required to find out the proper logical arrangement of these words from the given alternatives.

Type 1: Sequence of Occurrence of Events or Various Stages in a Process

  • Admission

A. 2, 1, 4, 5, 6, 3

B. 4, 2, 6, 1, 5, 3

C. 4, 2, 1, 6, 3, 5

D. 5, 4, 2, 1, 6, 3

Solution –The correct order of getting a degree is –

So the correct order is (4, 2, 6, 1, 5, 3). Hence, option B is the correct answer.

Type 2: Sequence of Objects in a Class or Group1. Select the correct alternative to indicate the arrangement of the following words in a logical and meaningful order.

  • Nakki Lake

A. 5, 1, 4, 3, 2

B. 5, 1, 4, 2, 3

–Solution –Nakki Lake is situated in Mount Abu. Mount Abu is located in Rajasthan. Rajasthan lies in India and India lies in this World.

The correct order is - 5, 1, 4, 3, 2

Type 3: Sequence in Ascending or Descending Order
