TNPSC Group 2 Eligibility: Nationality

Apart from all the above-mentioned requirements for TNPSC Group 2 eligibility, the candidates need to pass through another important parameter of nationality. Each candidate needs to conform to the nationality criteria and should primarily be a citizen of India. Along with this, they will have to submit the required documents to prove their nationality claims at the time of certificate verification. Apart from Indian citizenship, a candidate can also be eligible as per the following parameters:

  • A subject of Bhutan/Nepal
  • A refugee from Tibet who came to India before the 1st of January 1962 to permanently settle
  • An Indian Origin individual who has migrated from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia to permanently settle in India.
  • The above-mentioned criteria also ask the candidates to obtain a certificate of eligibility given by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
