PSSSB Clerk Exam Book

The official notification for PSSSB Clerk 2021 has been released by the Subordinate Service Selection Board, Punjab. Candidates who wish to apply for the post must start their preparation from today and in order to make preparations for the examination be more effective, you need the best study material for it.

PSSSB Clerk 2021: Exam Pattern and Syllabus

Best books for PSSSB Clerk examination

While preparing for PSSSB 2021 candidates can refer to some of the books listed below subject wise:

English Language: This section checks the writing and reading skills of the candidates. For this section, candidates need to work on their grammar skills and vocabulary. For vocabulary daily reading is a must either in the newspaper or any novel. Candidates can refer to the study material given below:

  • Wren and Martin for Grammar
  • Newspaper Reading and comprehension and vocabulary
  • Previous Years Papers

 

Computer/IT: This section tests whether the candidates know how to use a computer on which is mandatory for a clerk for their day-to-day work. Basic computer knowledge can be developed by using a computer or candidates can refer to any computer books which are available for middle school students (class 6-8) which contain all the information related to the internet and MS Office.

 

Mathematics: Not much preparation is required from this section. Candidates can refer to NCERT books from classes 1-10 to work on their concepts and basic formulas and any of the competitive books of Mathematics for government exams. Some of the books for mathematics are listed below:

Punjabi Language: For this section candidates need to have a command of the Punjabi language as they will be working in an environment where Punjabi will be the first language. Candidates belonging to the state of Punjab have to work on their grammar as they already have command in reading and speaking the Punjabi language. 

 

General Knowledge: This section scrutinizes how much knowledge the candidates have of their surroundings and their aptitude towards science and technology and the world. For this monthly book of current affairs and another book of general knowledge will be enough. The newspaper will be helpful for this section also.

Importance of Previous Year Paper
