HPPSC Syllabus 2021

The HPPSC Syllabus 2021 for the Prelims & Mains exam is released by the Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission. Candidates preparing for Himachal PCS Exam 2021 must be well versed with the complete HPPSC syllabus. Candidates can also download HPPSC Syllabus Pdf mentioned below

The HPPSC HPAS Prelims Exam 2021 was conducted on 26 September 2021. Candidates who have qualified the prelims exam will have to appear in the main examination which will be held in the month of December 2021. Candidates who are preparing for the HPAS mains exam must start their final preparation from now onwards for/ which they first need to know about HPPSC 2021 Syllabus.

HPPSC Syllabus 2021: Exam Pattern

Before candidates know about the syllabus they need to have a look at HPPSC 2021 exam pattern through which they will have an idea about different sections from which the questions will be asked. HPPSC Exam Pattern for both prelims and mains examination is listed below:

HPPSC Prelims Exam Pattern 2021

HPPSC prelims exam consist of two papers which are the General Studies and Aptitude Test.

  • Each prelims paper consist of 100 multiple-choice questions.
  • For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded 2 marks while for every wrong answer there will be a deduction of ⅓ of the marks awarded for the correct answer.

HPPSC Mains Exam Pattern 2021

HPPSC Mains consist of 8 papers out of which 6 are compulsory while the remaining 2 subjects change according to the qualification of the candidates who have applied.

Apart from the Mains written test there will be an additional Interview/Personality Test of 150 marks after which final selection will be made on the basis of performance in Mains and Interview.

HPPSC Exam Syllabus FAQs

  • Candidates have to attempt 2 papers which are General studies and aptitude tests both containing 100 questions and are to be attempted in 2 hours each.

  • The HPAS main examination will consist of 8 papers out of which 6 are compulsory and 2 are optional. The Time duration of each paper will be 3 hours and the marks weightage of each paper is between 100-200 marks.
