Haryana Police SI Selection Procedure 2021

Haryana Staff Selection Commission has released the official details of the Haryana Police SI Selection process 2021 with the official notification. Candidates who are going to apply for this exam, need to understand all the phases of the selection under the latest recruitment of HSSC Police Sub Inspector. The HSSC Police SI exam selection procedure includes four stages viz., knowledge test, physical standard test, physical measurement test, and document verification. 

Candidates need to clear each stage to move forward in the recruitment process of the HSSC Police SI 2021 exam. HSSC SI Selection Process Stages

The selection process for the Haryana Police SI exam starts with the online application process. The Haryana Police SI selection process involves has 5 stages viz., written exam, PST, PMT, Document verification. All candidates will be summoned for the written exam. The qualified candidates have to qualify for the PST and PMT. After qualifying this round candidates will be called for document verification. The various stages of the selection process involved.

Haryana Police SI Process: Marks Weightage

The total marks of the whole exam are divided into three categories. There is weightage for the written exam, additional qualification, and miscellaneous categories. There are no marks for the Physical Screening Test (PST) and Physical Measuring Test (PMT). The written exam has 80% weightage out of 100 marks. Check the marks distribution below:

HSSC SI Physical Screening Test (PST)

The written exam-qualified candidates will be summoned for the Physical Standard Test (PST). Seven times the number of vacancies will be called for the PST. The physical examination is qualifying in nature, it will judge your physical standard fitness and endurance.

Haryana Police SI Physical Measurement Test

The PMT will be conducted for those who had cleared the Knowledge Test and PST. The exam is also qualifying in nature. Candidates will be tested for physical measurement. The details of the PMT are given below:

Haryana Police SI Additional Qualification

Candidates who have qualified in all three rounds will be called for the Document verification process. The Additional Qualification will be tested here. Candidates need to produce documents for additional qualifications to get the desired marks.

  • Education (7 additional marks): The candidates who have a degree in Law, Forensic Medicin, Computer Engineering/ Science, Forensic Science, Police Science, and Criminology will get 4 marks and any candidate with a post-graduate degree will get 3 additional marks.
  • NCC Certificate (Maximum 3 marks): Aspirant with NCC certificates for levels A, B, or C will get 1, 2, or 3 additional marks respectively.

HSSC SI Socio-Economic Criteria & Experience

The commission has taken out additional weightage for the miscellaneous candidates. Check the marks for each category under miscellaneous:

  • Non-Govt. Employee: Aspirant or any close relative (spouse, father, mother, brother, son) is/was not a regular employee in any Haryana government Department/ Corporation/ Board/ Company/ Authority. 
  • Widow: If a candidate is a widow.
  • Tribe: If the candidate belongs to a denotified tribe (Tapriwas Jatis and Vimukt Jatis) or Nomadic tribes of Haryana, they will be awarded 5 marks.
  • Contract Employee: The candidate has experience when necessary or a contract employee will get a maximum of 8 marks.

HSSC SI Document Verification

All the aspirants who had cleared all the tests and gone through the above addition marks verification (if applicable) need to go through document verification to complete the process. 

  • 10th class certificate and mark sheet
  • 12th class certificate and mark sheet
  • Transfer certificate
  • Category certificate (if applicable)
  • PwD certificate (if applicable), etc.
  • Graduation final mark sheet
  • Graduation certificate
  • Post-graduation certificate (if applicable)

Haryana Police SI Exam Selection Process FAQs

  • The weightage of the knowledge test is 80%. It is the maximum weightage in the final selection.

  • The weightage of post-graduation in the final merit list of Haryana Police SI is 5%.

  • The candidates whose close family members are not in government jobs will get 5 additional marks.

  • No, there is no interview in the Haryana Police SI exam.

  • The PST and PMT are qualifying in nature. No marks will be allotted for qualifying these tests.

  • The Haryana Police SI exam has four stages: Written exam, PST, PMT, and Document verification.
