Gujarat High Court Civil Judge Prelims Exam Pattern 2022

The Preliminary Examination (Elimination Test) will be worth 100 marks and will last for two hours. It will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs) of one mark each, with a negative marking of 0.33 points for each incorrect or multiple answer. The Preliminary Examination will have 3 parts Part A, Part B & Part C. Detailed information is given below:

  • The preliminary examination format is an online computer-based test.
  • It'll be made up of objective questions.
  • The examination should last for two hours.
  • Each wrong answer will result in a 0.33 mark deduction.
  • A Language Proficiency Test will be administered in addition to the Preliminary Exam to only those candidates who had Gujarati as a subject in 10th or 12th grade.
  • Those who take the Language Proficiency Test must achieve a score of at least 40% on the exam to qualify for mains.

In Gujarat High Court Civil Judge Exam Mains Pattern. The applicant must score at least 50% on the Preliminary Exam for qualifying in the mains examination.

  • The language of the Preliminary Examination Question Paper will be English only.
  • The Computer will assess/evaluate the Preliminary Examination Paper (Objective Type) based on the entries submitted on the OMR Sheet.
  • Gujarati Language Proficiency Test as prescribed, with a minimum score of 40% to be eligible for the Main Written Examination. For those applicants who've not passed the Gujarati subject in both their secondary and higher secondary school exams.
  • The Applicant must secure more than 50% in the Preliminary examination to qualify for the Mains examination of Gujarat Judiciary.
  • Marks of preliminary examination will be not counted for final merit.
  • The language of the Mains Examination Question Paper will be English only. But the Answer can be in both English and Gujarati, if not instructed otherwise.
  • Applicant belongings to SC/ST needed 45% and all others needed 50% to qualify for Interview.

  • The interview will be awarded a total of 50 marks.
  • The legal knowledge, mental alertness, clear and logical explanation, balance of judgment, abilities, attitude, ethics, assimilation capacity, communication power, character, and intellectual depth of the cadre candidate are all considered.
  • To be considered, selected applicants may need to achieve a minimum score of 40%.
