RPSC RAS Growth Opportunities 2022
The RPSC RAS officer starts from a lower designation in rank than the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). However, with at least 12-16 years of service, RAS officers will be promoted to the IAS. On promotion, the RPSC RAS officers usually reach up to the post of Divisional Commissioner before retirement.
RPSC RAS officers start their career as Assistant Collector and Executive Magistrate during the training period. After completion of training, they are posted as SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate). The SDM (Sub-Divisional Magistrate) will get the first promotion after 8–9 years of service and usually retires after one or two promotions. The promotion in state PCS is slower in comparison to the UPSC recruits.
