RPSC SI Exam Pattern 2021 Overview
Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is holding an entrance exam for recruitment of Sub-Inspectors and Platoon Commanders in April 2021. This year the RPSC SI Exam is taking place after a long gap of 5 years, the last time it was held in the year 2016. This exam is for all the applicants who have applied for 859 vacant positions declared this year. This year applicants can fill the form from February 9 2021 to March 10 2021, in online mode. The aspirants are required to take a written competitive exam, succeeding in which they will be called for a physical fitness test and finally an interview. Candidates are supposed to write two papers, Paper I and Paper II, to pass the exam. All the questions asked will be objective-type questions. RPSC SI Exam 2021 will be conducted to select candidates for the post of Sub Inspector in Section I, II and IV and for Platoon Commander’s post in Section IV and VI. RPSC SI Selection Process 2021
The RPSC SI Selection Process 2021 for Platoon Commander and Rajasthan Police SI is done in three major stages. You need to pass each and every stage of the selection process to be eligible for getting appointed in Rajasthan Police services. The steps are as follows –
Stage1- MCQ type written exam (whether it will be offline or online, it will be declared later by the authorities). Two written tests are conducted, namely, Paper-I and Paper-II.
Stage 2- Physical efficiency evaluation
Stage- 3- General aptitude test and face to face interview/Counselling
Candidates qualifying the written exams will be called for the next round of selection procedure that is physical fitness, and the qualified candidates from this second round will be asked to appear for the interview round.
Detailed RPSC SI Exam Pattern 2021
The written exam of RPSC SI is the first step of the selection process for RPSC SI.
- All the questions asked in the RPSC SI Exam will have objective multiple-choice questions.
- The written exam will be bilingual, i.e., Hindi and English.
- There are two parts in the written test Paper I and Paper-II.
- The duration of each paper of RPSC SI Exam is 2 hours.
- Each Paper will have 100 questions.
- To qualify, you need to obtain 36% in each of the two papers and a 40% aggregate of marks to pass.
- There is a relaxation of 5 marks allowed for the candidates belonging to SC/ST in each paper and in aggregate as well.

RPSC SI Physical Efficiency Test 2021
Those candidates who pass the written tests will become eligible to appear for the RPSC SI Physical Efficiency Test 2021, which tests your physical suitability for joining Rajasthan Police as SI and Platoon Commanders. Before the selected candidates undertake the RPSC SI Physical Efficiency Test 2021, they clear the Physical Measurement Test (PMT). The criteria for the same has been given in the below table.

RPSC SI Physical Efficiency Test (PET) 2021 carries a total of 100 marks, and you need to secure at least 50% marks to qualify. All the prescribed physical activities are required to be performed by all male and female candidates. The candidates who qualify for this round of physical fitness are declared eligible for the next round.

RPSC SI Aptitude Test and Interview 2021
Those candidates who have passed the RPSC SI PMT and PET will be called to appear for the aptitude test and interview. The RPSC SI Aptitude Test 2021 will be 50 marks. The board will evaluate your suitability for the post by evaluating your personality, tactfulness, general behaviour, leadership skills, and the knowledge associated with Rajasthan state’s culture through the aptitude test through the face-to-face interview. You may be given some weightage if you have records of some extracurricular activities done at school and college levels.
