Punjab PCS 2020 Notification Out! Punjab State Civil Services Combined Competitive Examination (PPSC 2020) has released the notification for the recruitment of officials for a total of 77 vacancies at the official site. The Preliminary Combined Examination of PPCS 2020 is tentatively scheduled in September 2020. The actual date for the Preliminary examination is subject to be declared later, depending upon the Public Health Safety situation.

The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has been authorized under Article 315 of the Constitution of India, to recruit officials in various departments of the State Government. These recruitments are done by the Commission as and when vacancies under various departments are notified by the State Government.

Note: Fee once paid is non-refundable and only through system generated ‘Fee Challans’ can be submitted. 

Important Instructions:

  • The State Bank of Patiala is authorized to receive the Application fee. Hence candidates are advised to submit the fee through this bank.
  • Before final submission of the application form, candidates are advised to check and verify all the details. The form once submitted, no query concerning the change shall be entertained after the form submission. NO CHANGE/EDIT WILL BE ALLOWED AFTER THE SUBMISSION.

Eligibility Criteria:

Age: The candidate should have attained the minimum age of 21 years and should not be more than 37 years as on 1st January 2020.

Note: For the post of “Deputy Superintendent Police and Deputy Superintendent Jail)/ District Probation Officer (Grade-II)” in Punjab Prisons State Service, the minimum age is 21 years and the maximum age is 28 years. Likewise, the details concerning the age limits can be checked for other posts in the official notification, PDF attached in the article below.

Educational Qualification:

The candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institution. A candidate must have appeared “Matriculation Examination with Punjabi” as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in the Punjabi language, which may be specified by the Government from time to time.

 Important Points:

  • The standard of questions would be to assess the knowledge as is expected of a person who has attained education at least up to graduation level.

  • The Main Exam is allowed to appear by the candidates as equal to 13 times of the vacancies advertised in each category. The vacancies advertised are 77 for various administrative posts.

Note: Provided that, such number of candidates are available and, are otherwise eligible for admission to the Main Examination.
