NIACL AO Mains Exam Analysis 2019: NIACL AO Mains exam was conducted countrywide in different centres today i.e on 02nd March 2019. The exam was held in a single shift. Now it is the time for a thorough exam analysis to keep our readers abreast of the latest exam trend. NIACL AO Mains Exam 2019: Major Highlights & Overall Exam-analysis

1. Level of the NIACL AO Mains 2019:

  • The overall level of the Exam falls into Moderate Category.

  • Candidates managed to attempt a good number of questions in exam.

2. Individual sections level comparison :

  • General Awareness Section: This section was easiest among all sections as easy level and recent current affairs were asked in the exam.
  • English Language: English Language Section was of moderate level.
  • Reasoning Ability: The level of this section was on a slightly higher side as compared to other sections due to a tricky puzzle and seating arrangement questions.
  • Quantitative Aptitude: This section falls into Moderate category. The questions asked were calculative and time-taking but doable.

3. Sectional Highlights

Reasoning Ability Section Review :

  • Puzzles and seating arrangement dominated the section with around 23 questions.
  • Inequality questions were not asked. 
  • Old pattern Syllogism and coding-decoding were asked.

Quantitative Aptitude Section Review :

  • 20 questions from Data Interpretation were asked.
  • A bar graph, a pie chart, tabular DI and a caselete DI of the moderate level was asked.
  • Quadratic equation and quantity based questions were also there.

English Language Section Review : 

  • In English Langauge, no new pattern questions were asked which were of moderate level.
  • All the pattern of questions has already been asked in recent exams.

General Awareness Section Review :

  • Current affairs of last 3 months were asked.
  • The level of the questions was easy.

4. Good Attempts 

  • As the level of the exam was moderate, the attempts for the exam remained accordingly high.
  • Considering the level of questions as well as vacancies this year, attempting 135+ questions with utmost accuracy in today's exam is good to go.

NIACL AO Mains Exam Analysis of Quantitative Aptitude Section

Topics and number of questions distribution in Quantitative Aptitude section is given below -


1. Data Interpretation

  • Level: Moderate
  • A bar graph based Data Interpretation was asked.
  • A Pie chart based Data Interpretation was asked.
  • A tabular based data interpretation was asked.
  • A caselet data interpretation was asked in today's exam.

2. Number Series

  • Level: Moderate
  • Missing number series was asked.
  • The patterns were a little bit tricky but recognizable if you had practised enough. 3 out of 5 were easily doable.

3. Quadratic Equation

  • Level: Easy
  • It was based on Inequality. Its questions were of the easy-moderate level. 

4. Data Sufficiency

  • Level: Moderate
  • A question was followed by 2 statements. You had to find which statement is necessary to answer the given question.

5. Arithmetic Problems

  • Level: Moderate
  • The miscellaneous arithmetic questions were slightly time-consuming
  • This section comprised of questions from arithmetic topics which are Age-based questions, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Time and Work, Probability, Partnership, Time, Speed & Distance etc.

NIACL AO Mains Analysis of Reasoning Ability Section 

We have shared below topic wise breakup of the topics asked in Reasoning Ability Section of NIACL AO Mains Exam 2019-

Level and details of the topics asked :

1. Puzzles & Seating Arrangement :

  • Level: Moderate
  • The Major chunk of questions was asked from this topic.
  • A floor based puzzle with 5 questions was asked.
  • A linear seating arrangement of the double row was asked in which people were facing North and South direction.
  • A square based puzzle with 8 persons was asked. In this, 4 persons were sitting in middle and 4 in corners of the square.
  • A year based puzzle of the high level was asked.

2. Syllogism :

  • Level: Easy
  • Old pattern syllogism was asked.

3. Coding-decoding :

  • Level: Moderate
  • Old pattern coding-decoding questions were asked.

4. Input-Output :

  • Level: Moderate
  • Questions were based on an ascending/descending pattern of ranks of the letters.

5. Miscellaneous Questions :

  • Level: Moderate
  • 3-4 questions were asked from Blood Relation. 3 questions were from order and ranking. Rest were from topics like Direction sense, alphabet test etc.

English Language Section Review of NIACL AO Mains Exam

Check below the number of questions asked in each topic of English Language Section -

Details of the topics asked with their level :

1.  Reading Comprehension 

  • Level: Moderate
  • Two RCs with 5-5 questions were asked. 
  • In both RCs there were vocab based questions.
  • One RC was based on artificial intelligence and Robots. Another RC was based on Insurance sector and country Albania.
  • Synonym of 'Destroying' was asked.

2. Double/Triple Fillers

  • Level: Moderate
  • Questions of double and triple fillers were asked about this topic.

3. Parajumble/Sentence Rearrangement

  • Level: Moderate
  • In this, 7 sentences were given. 4th sentence was fixed.
  • Students were required to rearrange the other 6 sentences. You had to arrange them and answer which sentence is 1st, 2nd and so on. 

4. Phrase Replacement

  • Level : Moderate
  • A part of the sentence was given in bold and the students had to pick the appropriate idiom/ phrase in the given options, which could be used to replace the bold part of the sentence. 

5. Cloze Test

  • Level : Moderate
  • A paragraph with 10 blanks was asked. Questions were doable.

General Awareness Section Review of NIACL AO Mains Exam 2019 

  • In the General Awareness Section, questions from Current Affairs, Banking awareness as well as Static GK were asked.
  • A major chunk of questions was asked from Current Affairs. Around 15 questions were based on Current affairs of the last 4 months. 
  • From banking awareness, 15-18 questions were asked. Topics included were full form of banking and finance terms, 
  • Static GK comprises of 5-8 questions in NIACL AO Mains. Questions were based on topics of capital, currency, parks, and airports.

Letter Writing (150 words)
a) Letter to the editor expressing your concern about increasing craze of PubG game.
b) Letter to your friend describing MSME
