Age Limit

All the interested candidates must be in the age bracket of 21 years to 45 years as of October 01, 2021.

Educational Qualification

The minimum educational qualification for the OPSC Assistant Professor exam is a Master's Degree with 55% marks & passed the NET exam. 

• Candidate must have a Master's Degree from a recognized university or institute in the concerned/relevant subject. 
• The general category candidate must have 55% marks and the SC/ ST/ PwD candidates must have 50% marks in the master degree
• The candidate who has qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Assistant Professor (Stage I) or has acquired a Ph.D. Degree in the concerned discipline from Indian or Foreign Universities.

The candidates will be shortlisted for the interview based on their educational qualifications and merit. The OPSC will call almost 3 times the number of vacancies for the interview. Candidates need to carry all the documents for the Interview. The interviewer will test the candidate's knowledge of the related subject and their problem-solving skills.

The interview/ viva-voce is the only stage of the exam. Only a handful of candidates (3 times the number of vacancies ) are called for the OPSC Assistant Processor interview after the application form is over. The final merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in interviews.
