NCCS Pune PhD Admission 2021 - How to Apply:
- Candidates who have just qualified for Lectureship in CSIR-UGC-NET as well as the ”Project list of ICMR” are not eligible.
- NCCS’s PhD program is a full-time program. The selected candidates might have to stay on campus.
- Students who have a fellowship and also are expected to be awarded an MSc, Degree by the end of July-2021 are eligible to apply. Their selection will certainly be provisional and based on fulfilling the eligibility criteria by the end of November 2021. No further request for an extension of time will be entertained.
- All the eligible complete applications received within the last date will be screened as well as shortlisted candidates will be called for interview based on the admission
schedule. - Various other terms and conditions of the fellowship will certainly be directed by the financing agency awarding the fellowship assistance. The upper age limit for JRF shall be 28 years which has a relaxation of up to 5 years in case of applicants belonging to SC/ST/ Women/PWD as well as 3 years in case of OBC, or as applicable.
- Fellowship will certainly be activated as per the respective financing agencies guidelines on Direct Benefit Transfer basis. NCCS will not responsible for providing fellowships.
- Reservation of seats will be according to the Government of India guidelines.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/ OBC category need to additionally attach a true copy of Caste Certification/ The latest non-creamy layer certificate in addition to the application and originals must be produced at the time of joining.
- Kindly mention “Application for PhD – August-2021 Session” in the subject of the email before sending it.
- The complete application form (download from NCCS website) along with the photocopies of M.Sc. marks statement as well as Fellowship certificate/admit card need to be sent through an email to phdadmission@nccs.res.in (One PDF file containing application in the prescribed format in addition to certifications) on or prior to

NCCS Pune PhD Admission 2021 - Selection Process
Shortlisted candidates fulfilling NCCS criteria will have to appear for an online interview which is scheduled to be conducted at National Centre for Cell Science, Pune on 22nd, 23rd & 24th June 2021. The complete details of the interview process of shortlisted candidates will be published on the NCCS official website along with the list of shortlisted candidates on 07th June 2021.
